Imagine standing at the heart of the Himalayas, surrounded by a ring of towering peaks—this is the magic of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Few journeys allow you to approach 7000- to 8000-meter giants with such accessibility, making this trek a favorite for both novice and seasoned adventurers. Over 7 to 11 days (with an 11-day itinerary highlighted here), travelers are led from the terraced fields of Nayapul and the famed Poon Hill sunrise to the enchanting rhododendron forests and into the Modi Kola Valley.
Each day brings new scenery, from lush rice paddies to dramatic high-altitude landscapes, culminating at the base camp itself at 4,130 meters—framed by Annapurna I, Machapuchhre, and more. The route is dotted with welcoming lodges, so you can trek light and focus on the experience rather than logistics. Trekking here means not only spectacular views but also immersion in local culture as you pass through mountain villages and interact with Nepali hospitality.
The unique selling point of this trekking tour is its unparalleled proximity to some of the world’s highest peaks with a moderate level of effort. Ideal for those eager to witness Himalayan grandeur without extreme difficulty, this trek promises a scenic, accessible adventure in one of Nepal’s most iconic regions.
I had a fantastic time all through the trek. It was extremely awesome view, great food and stay. I felt safe traveling alone through the local operator. All credits go to Upendra for planning the trip. He responds quickly and promptly. Highly treatable and took care of everything. I didn't have to worry or think about anything. Krishna was my guide and porter. Awesome friend, highly recommend him as a guide. I added Chitwan and Kathmandu tour. It was the best trip to chitwan. I did tower night, jungle walk, private safari, elephant ride. Every day was exciting and joyous. Krishna was a good guide with sharp eyes. If you wanna do bird watching and spot wildlife, highly recommend him. I saw so many rare birds. Got a lady guide Sushma for Kathmandu tour. Another extraordinary day. She added a trip to Kalabairav for me. Highly recommend her. She is calm, understanding, knowledgeable and great photographer. Very imp guide is a good photographer for solo trips. I had Krishna and Sushma help me all along the way. They are guides who turned to be great friends. We had an amazing time all along. I am so happy and proud. Love nepal! Definitely will be back soon.
The views high up are worth every step . It's hard work but, you are trekking in the Himalaya's so, you expect that. What is interesting is that, every day, when you get to the day's destination, you forget that it was hard work during the trek and wonder at the scenery before you. Totally Recommended
We had a wonderful experience trekking to Annapurna base camp. To be able to hike next to these mountainous giants was breathtaking and an experience I will never forget. We had the pleasure to be accompanied by Purna, who was our excellent guide. His pace was perfect for this trek, in the evening we had lots of fun talking or playing cards, and he was concerned with our well-being at all times! In conclusion, we had the most amazing time at ABC and if we come back we will definitely ask for Purna to be our guide again!
Our guide Dawa and our porter Ameesh were fantastic! The trek was physically challenging and visually breathtaking! Would totally trek with this company again!
20, 000 stairs. Be prepared. Up, down, up, down, up and around. So many stairs. Discuss with your guide in advance the level of communication and information you want in relation to tea houses and conversation over the table. My guide ate with the tea house family and I ate by myself, unless we stopped somewhere with other people. Not fun for a lone traveller.
We're now booked to go on our trek to Everest Base Camp (EBC) with the assistance of local tour specialists again from 19th Nov-4th Dec 2017. It means they're giving use satisfaction and we're very pleased to have them as our guides again. Generally ABC trek is a very long but filled with awesome and mesmorising sceneries. I highly recommend their services as it is worth every penny and Mr. Upen really take care of the logistic and the sleeping bags are GOD sent. It warms up in under 5 seconds. Thank you.
I had a wonderful and unforgettable trekking in Annapurna. The view from the lodge where the local travel experts put us up was amazing and fabulous. Services provided at the lodge was good and clean.
We are back to Belgium after doing a beautiful trek to Annapurna Base Camp in July 2017. The trek was organized by a local tour operator. It was monsoon season so the route was pretty peaceful all the way, the views were seen and disappearing regularly. It was a beautiful trekking even though we were not completely favored by the weather.
Annapurna Base Camp was truly magical. Experiencing the Himalayas for 1 week and getting to stay at base camp during the super moon was an experience we will never forget!
I expected a more physical challenge, most day we had finished walking by 2-3pm and then hung around the tea house until bed time. I actually cut the trip short because I was walking too many miles a day and I was barely walking 6-7 miles. The route was very crowded with large groups of Asian trekkers. The views of Annapurna were spectacular and I won't forget them.
I completed my 3rd trek to the popular Annapurna Base camp. I can just say that it's a very beautiful trekking route with lots of rewards despite physical hardship. We were very fortunate with the weather as the first few days were very foggy and rainy however once we reached higher everything became very clear and the visibility was outstanding.
Just returned back from Nepal with a trek to Annapurna Base camp which went absolutely smooth. Me and my friend both enjoyed the beautiful country with fabulous scenery surrounded around us. We loved the trekking and it went great.
No doubt that it was a memorable adventure for me. Even though I was single woman traveling alone I felt safe on the trek. The staffs took good care of me. The views were beautiful and I felt in love with the scenic nature. Annapurna Base Camp Trek was on of the best but hardest journeys I have every had. Thank you all!
Dear Upendra, Thank you so much for an amazing trip to Annapurna base Camp. It wouldn't be possible without all your helps and amazing staffs you provided. I am so thankful to you and I will never forget this adventurous trip to Annapurna. Super happy, super satisfied!
