It was a good and very well planned trek. Our guide Kumar Karki is a professionel guide who does all his best for helping and supporting us, his clients. Also compliments to our porter. We had a great trek with fun and many good stories. Thank you both for making our trek succesful.
Our guide for this trek, Manish, was very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about trekking. He offered us an alternative route - to see Mohare Dansa - which would've been more eco-tourism focused, with homestays, villages, and a less populated trail. But because my friend and I didn't know much about it, we opted for the original Poon Hill trek, which was still great. (Next time, I would consider the other option, though). Despite being the easiest trek, it was still quite intense with a lot of stairs, up and down. (Day 2 is mostly just upstairs!!) But the good thing is there are lots of tea houses along the way for you to take breaks. We went in March and the climates vary a lot: 70's and strong sun at lower altitudes to 0 Celsius at the top of Poon Hill. The company allows you to rent a puffer jacket and sleeping bag, and for everything else (backpack, towel, gloves, etc.) you can buy in Kathmandu. For lodging, we stayed in some nice lodges with cots and blankets; you can purchase wifi for 100 rupees (about 1 USD) and fill up water (1L bottles usually 100 rupees). Some highlights were the walk down from Poon Hill (Day 3) after sunrise and Gandhruk - we stayed in a cute lodge called Hotel Asish Aama with the cutest host and best homecooked dal bhat. Some things I'd recommend packing: synthetic or wool clothes, thick/wool socks, quick-dry towel, cap/hat for the sun, hand warmers, and joint care pills (like omega-3).
We cant believe to make it since we are beginner trekker, but during the trip our guide, Raju, always takes care us patiently and give us the spirit and finally it was completed.

"Three friends and I completed the 12-day Everest Base Camp trek with the local operator in March 2018. We had the best time. Our guide, Ramesh Gurung, ... Read More
The trek gives you stunning views of the Himalaya and the surrounding hills. I can definitely recommend the trip. For those short of time: the Gurung museum and village are not as stunning as the rest. Hence, I think it is possible to do day 5 and 6 in one day.
This is my first trip in Nepal. I took this itinerary with a guide and a porter. My guide Bal is a experienced and thoughtful person who considered next step for us. He replied me patiently for every single question. Though the second day and part of the third day is a little hard (almost uphill), the scenery is absolutely beautiful. Everything is perfect except the tea house in the mountain is little cold to me.
Everything was amazing, the view was great! The tour guide & the porter was very friendly & helpful. Me and my friends had an unforgettable trip.
We did 5 days Poon Hill Trekking in April 2017. It was a short and beautiful trekking. Our guide was a great man who took care of transfers, foods, accommodation etc.. on the trek. We stayed in good tea houses with clean rooms, especially after we heard complaints from other people we found that we had the best guide. The views from Poon Hill viewpoint were incredible. The mountains and the people are so beautiful up there.
This trek was really nice, the views from Poon Hill were really lovely. Also the pace of the trek was very well managed. We stayed in some lovely tea estates with very nice views. I do recommend moderate level of fitness so that one can really enjoy the trek and the sights and not so fixated the physical strain. The guide was experienced and receptive, he managed our needs and trekking speeds really well. All in all, a must do when in Nepal!!!
The scenery was beautiful and we had a superb time up in the mountains. Nepal is definitely a great place to go to take your mind off and relax. Breathtaking scenic view and there was a certain feeling we could only experience up there.
A travel with a lot of unexpected situations that our local tour operator deals 5 starts. Flights to Jomson and from Jomson that could not go and come because of the weather. They adaptated the travel to the needs of tourists. We can trust in them.
