Mediterranean Adventure Trips

We had an AMAZING trip crossing three islands with our VERY knowledgeable tour director Andrew (also a resident of Hawaii) who was a big part of the tour's success for us. He added so much to the places we visited and we toured 3 islands with plenty to see and experience, plus time on our own. Highlights included the tour of a pineapple farming operation, a trip to the (active) volcano Kilauea, walking through a family-owned Kona coffee, snorkeling on a catamaran and Luau that will always be a standout highlight for this trip.

Overall, great itinerary but we did not think the trash to treasure in Ayvalik attributed positively to trip. The trip would be amazing if we can add the ancient ruins at Aphrodisias and Antalya region with excursion to Rhodes. We had the best tour director we’ve ever had on this tour, Furkan of all of our 20+ trips with Trafalgar and insight. (Furkan +90 544 462 19 92). You should have him train new tour directors to be like him 😁

Having taken more than half a dozen motorcoach tours with various companies with my family as well as alone, I am well-acquainted with guides, accommodations, coaches, and the extra touches that make a tour interesting, comfortable and meaningful to travelers. First and foremost, Carol Kendrick, of Insight Vacations, is absolutely stellar. I would even say she is the best guide/hostess/caretaker of the many I have experienced. Much of this is due to the extra little touches of "above and beyond" she undertook for her fellow travelers. We found snack bars on our bus seats on a day when we would have more time on our own, or colorful bandanas which she had pre-laundered when she expected that the canyon wind and dust might be bothersome. It was apparent that her research and knowledge of the area were extensive and she had illustrations, maps and directions which were helpfully projected on the bus monitors. She was well-organized and detail-oriented. She was attuned to our needs without being overbearing. She was attentive without being intrusive. In short, Carol Kendrick is a gifted guide, teacher, and ultimately friend, who established parameters and expectations of behaviors and information that allowed our group members to return home with fond memories and new friendships.

Excellent trip. Very well organised with a fantastic group leader in Davide. Good variety of cycle trips with some days more challenging than others. A fun week with great company.

It was a fully packed itinerary allowing us to see as much as possible of the Best of Germany. Early morning departures allowed us to arrive at our destination before the crowds. This was great as we could truly enjoy the places visited and take some wonderful photos. Agnes, our director was absolutely wonderful, giving us lots of information along the way and keeping us entertained with many stories. Istvan, our driver, was excellent, getting us safely to our destination and always had a smile no matter how early or late it was.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on the Country Roads of Belgium, Luxembourg & Netherlands tour. The itinerary was beautifully balanced between famous highlights and smaller hidden gems, and everything felt very well organised. We especially loved the charming towns, local culture and comfortable pace of the tour. Our travel director and driver were excellent and made the whole journey enjoyable and stress-free. It truly felt like a premium travel experience from start to finish. We came home with fantastic memories and would gladly travel with Insight Vacations again.
