Mediterranean Budget Tours and Affordable Trip Packages

The pilgrimage organized by Colette was managed superbly by Cincia Trappa! She executed the plan flawlessly, which had built in difficulties organizing 44 personalities! The site visits were exactly what we wanted to see, experience and love. The day at Assisi was wonderful, but St Peter's Basilica was the ultimate experience. Cincia made an excellent decision postponing our scheduled visit to a later weekday with fewer visitors. Seeing Pope Leo close up was an event none of us will forget! The hotel was excellent, the transportation first class, the guide, Christianos, was exceptional...don't ever lose access to that font of Italian history!! Being able to access the four Holy Doors, see Pope Francis's tomb, and experience all the Jubilee churches and sites, are why we went to Rome with Colette! Thank you for a wonderful week!

Our tour manager set us up for the best experience possible. We crammed in 3 days worth of events in one day. We were able to see so much. I learned so much about my faith. The beauty of it. The history and love and mercy for each member of God’s beautiful family. Wonderful wonderful experience. Don’t change a thing.

Venice gondola was wonderful. Also, Portofino trip exceptional.. Dario was great throughout. Murano a great addition. Wineries were wonderful as was the food prep and presentation. A magnificent experience each day. Overall, a five-star experience.

I just loved seeing the open air opera theatre in Taromina.. Knowing that it is still being used today for performances is so wonderful. Seating in the seats that are now provided I could just imagine seeing performers on the stage. I would have loved to just stand on the stage. I didn’t get to see it at night but can just imagine it under the stars with a view of Mount Etna. I must also mention the food. It was truly wonderful. Every bite!! Our tour manager Laura was just the best. This was my second tour with Collette and I hope to add at least one or two or who knows how many more. I truly prefer the small group tours. You really get to know your fellow travelers and the experiences are truly remarkable. I like that even if you are traveling alone you have a travel family with you. I do hope that in the future you might add a few more level 2 tours to the small group tours. Right now the level 3 are fine but hoping to be able to travel as long as possible. It took me a while to finally get to Sicily to see where my grandparents were born, but it was worth the wait and I’m so glad I chose Collette for the journey.

LOVED this tour and our tour manager, Andrea Vitali, did a phenomenal job of sharing insights to each of the regions we traveled to as well as food/drink recommendations for each region. Collette selected fantastic hotels/villas for each location and the personal experiences with the cooking classes were very fun. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND taking this tour. You won’t regret it!!

The Tuscan/Umbrian tour was a fabulous experience! Everything was perfectly planned and the immersion experiences were unforgettable! The family who welcomed us into their home for an Italian lunch, the olive oil tour and tasting, the wine tasting were gave us a real flavor of Italy. But I would have to say that for me the highlight was the truffle hunting experience! We learned so much that day, saw amazing views and enjoyed authentic homemade food. In every case we were greeted with warm hospitality. And I can’t forget to mention our tour guide Giulio (and our driver Gerry) who made the trip so enjoyable every step of the way!
