Mediterranean Explorer Trips

Machu Picchu was the obvious highlight but I really enjoyed everywhere we went in Peru with great food and scenery along the way. Arequipa is a beautiful city to explore and the Santa Catalina convent is really interesting. The Colca Canyon is stunning and seeing the condors was an added bonus. The Uros Islands were interesting and colourful and the homestay on Taquile Island was simple and comfortable. Learning about the way of life on Taquile was fascinating. The excursion to Maras and Moray was one of my favourite things along with the visit to Misminay where we had a lesson on stargazing. Machu Picchu is stunning and finishing off in Cusco with Inti Raymi was another highlight. Our tour leader Julio was fantastic - he is really knowledgeable and was very entertaining. He also went out of his way to help the group - I had an issue with my luggage not arriving and he was so helpful. Would recommend this holiday to anyone.

We were taken to interesting historical places with guided tours and learned so much. All the tour guides were great and were always able to answer all questions, some were humorous as well. We were given a little time after the tours to poke around a little or shop if that was available. The scenery was beautiful, our bus tour guide was fantastic, and our bus driver was amazing.

The itinerary was very historic and authentic Ireland, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable, and we just enjoyed the trip tremendously from both the beauty we saw and the authenticity of Irish history that we were presented

Really enjoyed the trip around Morocco! Very well planned and organised trip - made extra special by our trip leader Saber, who was exceptional, very knowledgeable, friendly and always happy to help in any situation!

Absolutely fantastic holiday. We really enjoyed the trip and felt it included every experience that it could possibly fit into such short a holiday. Our travel director Gianluca was a lot of fun and incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The heatwave was taken into consideration and itinerary adjusted accordingly which made it much more enjoyable to see the sites. Our only disappointment was two optional extras that we felt should have been included in the main price and those were the tours through Venice and Verona. They really weren't anything special and we could have done them ourselves as nothing really 'hidden' was revealed other than main squares. We did feel a bit like having that free time rather would have been better and we could have seen more.

This was a brilliant tour in every respect. Hery was one of the best trip leaders I've ever had. And the places we went and the things I saw made this a truly memorable trip of a lifetime. That said, it's not for everyone. Long days on bad roads were grueling, and some of the lodging was basic. But these things should not dissuade anyone from visiting this fascinating and beautiful country.
