Mediterranean Explorer Tour Reviews

Real traveler feedback from Explorer tours across Mediterranean

All the cities visited were outstanding and each a bit different. Our tour manager, Marcus Graf, was knowledgeable, caring and very organized. He is a gem! The hotel in Luzern was outstanding the other two hotels were good. The markets did not disappoint but the decor in the towns was just amazingly beautiful. Well done Collette.

Trip was great. Enjoyed the variety of Christmas markets that we went through. Very beautiful & historical. Tour guide gave us a lot of information as we were on bus rides. Loved market & tour through the palace

Having been on at least nine Explore tours over the years, I found this guide to be one of the most outstanding, in terms of knowledge and personality (in particular, his ability to present the country's history and culture to children in a manner which they are likely to retain, while being available to offer more detailed and nuanced insights to the adults on the trip)

Enjoyed the trip, loved the festive setting with snow and Christmas festivities. Quebec City had some lovely shops and restaurants, enjoyed the french influence and Canadian French people. Montreal was a lot more urban but enjoyed the market there and ventured over to the mall for indoor shopping. We took a uber and went to some more shopping locations than were on the itinerary. The Christmas markets were small so it didnt take much time, but we found some nice downtown shops to walk to and restaurants to enjoy lattes and pasteries. It was a great trip!

This is an excellent tour, covering a lot of ground at a moderate, but completely manageable pace. Highlights are those out of the major cities, though Chiang Mai itself is also an interesting place, much more relaxed and less crowded than Bangkok.

Your leader was superb- very knowledgeable, patient and interesting with a great sense of humour. He went above and beyond at times. The trip notes were misleading about the White Lady Paintings walk. It is not a flat walk at all. The Makuti lodge was disappointing after the previous one. It was soulless. The Christmas dinner was a bone of contention as it was expensive and there were no other options
