Rome Cultural, religious and historic sites Trips

Awesome trip! It really gives a nice overview of much of the country. We saw so many gorgeous sights. The mix of included and optional activities was great, it gave us the ability to be as busy as we wanted, but also allowed for downtime if we so chose. Most of the activities are in classic tourist areas - very crowded. We also had some activities off the beaten path, which was lovely. Be prepared with good walking shoes, we averaged about 6km per day, and lots of it is over ancient cobblestone and stairs. Our Travel Director was wonderful and all the local tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. This was our first European trip and we loved it.

Excellent, well connected tour guide made this trip so enjoyable! The tour provided opportunities to see many different regions of Italy in a fast paced, structured way. Appreciated that everything was taken care of and all we needed to do was show up!!!!

Our travel Director Lino really made our trip amazing! We had a great group of people on the tour with us, and everyone was engaged, friendly, and fun. We visited more sites than I even expected when I booked the tour, and every stop was well worth it. I truly appreciated how Trafalgar booked our top tours early in the day to help avoid the crowds, as we were able to get in and enjoy the sites before the multitude of crowds showed up. I know some of the excursions were extra and optional however we signed up for every single one with no regrets. We really enjoyed having everything taken care of for us, from the planning, driving, managing the luggage, booking the extra excursions and tour tickets, as well as the food and shopping suggestions during our free time. If I could give 6 stars I would. We are already planning our next adventure with Trafalgar. Thank you for exceeding our expectations on a lifetime bucket list trip for me and my family!

Loved that it hit all the highlighted tourist area, but lots of walking. This was our second Insight tour and again it did not disappoint on our first trip to Italy! Travel director was knowledgeable and lots of fun. Highly recommend Margaret Stefanski!

The tour hit many of the spots you’d expect to see. Chinque Terra was beautiful; Rome, Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Venice and Assisi were all special too. We learned much on the tour. Our guide Lino was knowledgeable and fun. The Driver Alberto and the local guides were great. The one hotel in Florence seemed a bit tired and the room needed attention. Otherwise everything was great.
