The Mekong Delta is Vietnam at its most colorful and authentic. Named Vietnam’s rice bowl for a reason, the landscape is a mixture of fertile rice fields, orchards and mazes of waterways leading to off-the-beaten-path towns and villages. On a tour to Mekong Delta, travelers can cruise the river visiting towns, villages, floating markets, ancient temples and pagodas.

Best trip ever taken

Our Vietnam tour was thoroughly enjoyable—the food was incredible, and the scenery absolutely stunning. What made the experience even more seamless was our tour manager, who responded promptly to every request and went above and beyond to ensure we reached each destination smoothly. Much appreciated.

This trip changed how I see Vietnam

Wonderful vacation! Vietnam surprised me - it was so much different than what I had heard in the past. From north to south, it's a beautiful in it own way. I loved bavi eco tour, we had the chance to bike around the village, learn to make spring rolls. Hoi An is also a beautiful town with a unique culture. Its architecture gives off a "movie about the past" vibe, and the paddle boat trip was a lot of fun. Since my friend is passionate about history, Cuchi tour was her favorite, while the Mekong Delta tour was mine, i love the people there. I think Vietnam has a lot more to experience, I really looking forward to my next trip to Vietnam.

More than we expected

We thought six days might feel too short, but it was the perfect length to get a real taste of Vietnam. Loved the food tour in Hanoi and the magical night on the bay.

A perfect short escape

This tour packed so much into just six days! From the charm of Hanoi to the stunning Halong Bay cruise, every detail was perfectly arranged. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, making the journey stress-free and memorable.

Memorable trip for the whole family

This trip was such a great way for our family to explore both Vietnam and Thailand. The itinerary was good with interesting experiences. Hotels were comfy, guides were friendly, knowledgeable about places, and the food was amazing. Really appreciate how the team organized everything professionally.

Great solo travel in Vietnam/ Night Train Experience

Vietnam was lovely, wished I had more time to chill. Tours were great but tiring given the weather. Next time, I will do the half a day tours & explore on my own. Also encourage you to take a food and coffee tour. The tour agency was wonderful. I felt safe as a solo traveller. Tipping is appreciated.

Mekong Delta — Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Take a laid-back river cruise, stay in a traditional stilt house, and meet people from local communities. Make sure you bring a camera because the region is teeming with Instagram-worthy sights.

Tour Highlights

  • Visit Can Tho, the largest city in the Mekong and a good base for exploring the southern part of the delta.
  • See Cai Rang, the largest floating market in the Mekong delta.
  • Stay in a homestay in Vinh Long where you can get to know local people and discover how life is lived along the river.
  • While away the hours (or days, or weeks) watching the river traffic on a relaxing cruise.
  • Visit Tram Chim National Park and observe the cranes and other rare birds.

Travel Tips

  • The best time to visit the Mekong Delta is in the dry season, between December and May. Floods can disrupt travel at other times of the year.
  • People in this region are conservative, so you should dress modestly, covering your knees and shoulders when visiting villages.
  • Avoid swimming in the river if you have any open cuts or wounds as you may pick up a parasite.
