day 1 - Ho Chi Minh City arrival
Upon landing in Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat International Airport), we will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. You are free for the rest of the day. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
day 2 - Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta & Cai Be floating market
We will pick you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City after breakfast at around 7:30 in the morning. Head for the floating market of Cai Be, located in the Mekong Delta. See green paddy fields stretching like a patchwork towards the horizon on the way. Stop for photos in Tan An, a town overlooking picturesque rice fields.
On reaching the floating market, you will get the chance to discover the daily life of the Mekong Delta people. Immerse yourself in a world of produces that are bought and sold in the delta. Enjoy a motorboat ride through its shaded canals.
Visit a small family business to see how coconut candies and crispy rice popcorns are made. Explore the village of Binh Hoa Phuoc. Enjoy your lunch of fresh food served in a garden accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music.
Continue your journey to Vinh Long from where a car will take you back to Ho Chi Minh City. Stay in the city overnight.
day 3 - Ho Chi Minh City Tour - Cu Chi Tunnels & fly to Hanoi
Go out on a city tour after breakfast. See some impressive colonial monuments in the city and learn more about the French influence in Vietnam. See Notre Dame Cathedral and the old Central Post Office. Then visit Reunification Palace which was the residence of the president of South Vietnam until the end of the war in April 1975.
We will also visit the War Remnants Museum if time permits and, after having some tasty local food for lunch, continue our journey to the Cu Chi Tunnels, the incredible network of tunnels that once stretched for more than 210 miles.
The construction of this underground complex started from 1940 and went on throughout the Vietnam War. Head for the airport after the tunnel tour is over and fly to Hanoi. Stay overnight in the capital city of Vietnam.
day 4 - Hanoi - Ha Long Bay
We will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and drive you to Ha Long Bay. Covering 577 square miles, this vast bay is filled with more than 3,000 limestone 'peaks' or karsts that jut from the deep blue waters as far as the eye can see. Spend a day and a half exploring this overwhelming seascape from the deck of a traditional Vietnamese boat.
Comfortable and intimate, your boat features hand-crafted wooden interiors including a dining room and pleasant air-conditioned cabins with private baths. Stay overnight in the boat.
day 5 - Ha Long Bay - Hanoi
Wake up to the sound of the water lapping on the bay. Go to the upper deck of the boat and relax while enjoying the breathtaking beauty of this natural wonder. Explore Sung Sot Cave after breakfast.
Have your brunch while cruising through the bay. Check out of the cruise at the jetty and hop into the car. Drive back to Hanoi, arriving in the city at 3:00 PM. Check in at the hotel. You can explore the Old Quarter on your own before we take you for a 60-minute water puppet show. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
day 6 - Hanoi departure
Time to prepare for your departure. We will drive you to the airport for your flight back home. We hope you have enjoyed your trip arranged by Legend Travel Group. Goodbye and see you again!
