  • Breathtaking Valley Views.
Its a fusion of easy walking, cultural input, and a great trekking trail - that is what the Annapurna Base Camp trek offers you. It's an ideal trekking destination and will take you to an altitude of 4130m. The highlights of the Annapurna Base Camp trek are spectacular sunrise and mountain view from Poonhill; going around distinctive Gurung villages and get insights of their daily lifestyle; the hot spring in Jhinudanda; and incredible peak and glacier views from Annapurna Base Camp. All memories which likely to stick for a long time, if not a lifetime.

The track begins from plain villages and rice terraces into the Annapurna Himalayan range. As you steadily ascend up, the mountains of Himchuli and Annapurna south come into view in the horizon. Meadows and cultivated fields will now take you to the beautiful forests including bamboo, oak, and rhododendron trees. The path finally comes across moraines and takes us to Annapurna Sanctuary from where you will witness great views of the Annapurna peaks.

Overall, a great trek with moderate difficulty, and a 14 days duration.

“Annapurna Base Camp is a good alternative if you want to get to some altitude but havent the time for 2-3 weeks trekking. Its a suberb trek filled with joyfull people (locals and tourists) and lovely nature. Its a bit cold on the top but its worth it, for sure!
I be back soon for a longer trek.
