Europe Caves Tour Reviews

Genuine reviews from travelers on Caves Europe tours

The Spain & Portugal cities/quaint towns that you visit are stunning. This tour takes you to places that you would never know to visit (as a general tourist). The information provided by our tour guide, prior to reaching each destination was so informative. The local guides also provided so much knowledge about their unique city. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see all of the beautiful places as a "tapas" - taste of each city - experience.

Perfect jam packed itinerary. Lots of quaint towns and big cities included. Good value for money. Hotels were clean. Breakfast is okay nothing great but helps you get a fill and start rhe busy days. Coach is very comfortable and driver takes lots of care to keep it cool and clean.

The itinerary was thoughtfully designed, encompassing a wide array of stops and towns within the allotted time. However, I would suggest that a bit more time could have been devoted to certain sites of significant importance, particularly to locations like Fatima, where the spiritual and historical depth warrants a more immersive experience.

Truly, the best way to see major spots around Spain and Portugal is in just less than 2 weeks. The pacing is quite fast but not overwhelming, and all age groups can feel at ease with the sites and activities. Great mix of experiences from gastronomy to sightseeing. Highly recommend this trip for those wanting to hit most of the spots in Spain and Portugal.

I read the reviews ahead of time so I knew we were responsible for our own luggage, getting to the hotels from the airport and that the hotels were out of the city center a bit. That is why the trip was more cost effective than other tours that visit similar cities. I like it that breakfasts are included as a quick way to start our day. Our tour guide treated us to a few extras here and there as a surprise. Also when our itinerary had to change due to sporting events in the area, he got us close to the area for a slice of what we couldn't visit.

The coach (and its driver) were first-class, comfortable and clean. All our hotels were 3 & 4 star hotels (except Zleep Madrid was a 2 star) were all clean and quiet and well run. (A good thing about the Zleep Madrid was access to the 5 Euro shuttle to the airport.) The itinerary was exactly what we wanted to see in Spain and Portugal. The custom tours included a lot of walking (3 - 4 miles per day) which was more than expected. The custom tour in Toledo was very difficult having lots of elevation changes, narrow streets with cars and annoying bollards that tripped people. Our tour director () was the best tour director we've ever had. He was extremely knowledgeable about every place we visited, scheduled clean rest stops every 90 - 120 minutes, had excellent language skills and a great sense of humor.
