Duong was an amazing leader with a wonderful sense of humour. He was so passionate and knowledgeable about his country. He cared about each and every one of us and consistently ensured we were all happy and comfortable with arrangements. He would move the itinerary around to suit us and the weather and also suggested and added other extra trips/experience's he thought we may enjoy. Overall, an excellent leader.

What a wonderful trip. Our tour leader Jackie was absolutely brilliant. He was knowledgeable, well organised and took care of us all so well. Jackie was good humoured and solved anything that came up. The itinerary was full on, but we loved that . The accommodation was mixed some good , some brilliant, the hotel in Ho Chi Minh was a bit ropey. Loved it thanks Jackie

Fast-paced tour of the whole of Vietnam. The organisation was excellent. The hotels were great and many had a pool. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. It ticked all the boxes for the must sees of a beautiful country. I can highly recommend.

Inside Vietnam was an excellent trip from Hanoi to Saigon via some fabulous locations. The itinerary planned for us to visit iconic locations such as the Imperial citadel in Hue, the Cu Chi tunnels and the Old Quarter in Hanoi. There was also free time for us to explore on our own and add in experiences such as a cooking class. The accommodation was excellent with hotels located centrally. We also enjoyed an overnight train trip on the Reunification express and a fabulous homestay at Ben Tre on the Mekong river. Our guide, Quang, was excellent - keen to talk about Vietnam and willing to answer our questions. His recommendations for locations for evening meals were excellent and we enjoyed trying the different foods of Vietnam which changed as we moved South. This is a fabulous trip which gives you a good insight into Vietnam.

The highlights of Vietnam and Cambodia trip was excellent. It was a very well balanced itinerary and our tour leader Doan ensured we were able to make the most of our time in both countries. It was nice to stay on Halong Bay overnight to see the landscape in a quieter and more peaceful time as it felt quite touristy during the day. It also allowed us to witness the fabulous sunset and sunrise across the bay. The overnight train from Hanoi to Danang was an excellent experience and the train was very clean and comfortable (I slept like a baby, which was unexpected!) Hoi An was my favourite place, not only is it beautiful but also the cooking course and lantern making workshop at not to be missed! Cambodia was also fabulous. It is a beautiful country and provided an interesting contrast to Vietnam. Phom Penh allowed us to delve into the horrendous genocide in Cambodia’s recent history, providing us with a deeper understanding of the pain felt by all Cambodians. Angkor Wat and the other temple complexes in Siem Reap were absolutely breathtaking. Overall a fabulous trip which I would highly recommend it as it is so well balanced between history, nature and time truly understanding the local cultures. (Also the food is incredible!)

A fantastic trip in every way! The itinerary is interesting and varied with a good mixture of optional activities on offer. The guide was superb - knowledgeable, interesting, efficient and entertaining. The accommodation was excellent throughout, some hotels were outstanding, especially in Cambodia. We thoroughly recommend this trip!

Highlights of Vietnam Cruise Tours

  • Look out for native wildlife on a Mekong River cruise. The Mekong Basin is famous for a whole host of waterbirds, like cormorants and kingfishers, as well as the mighty Brahman oxen.
  • Learn to scuba dive on a day excursion to Hon Mun Marine Protected Area. Jump on a Vietnam cruise tour and head out to one of the most biodiverse areas—perfect for scuba diving and snorkeling.
  • Take in the stunning Nha Trang coastline, famed for its pristine beaches, swaying palm trees, and relaxed coastal vibes.
  • Tick off your travel bucket list by taking a cruise trip in the iconic Ha Long Bay. It is best known for its stunning limestone island mountains jutting out from emerald waters.
  • Visit the iconic Dragon Bridge when you dock in Da Nang. Experience this engineering marvel that spits water and fire on the weekends in an event that draws both tourists and locals.

Travel Tips for Cruise Tours in Vietnam

  • Opt for a longer cruise in Ha Long Bay for a peaceful getaway. As shorter cruises generally stay closer to the ports, there will be many boats and tourists around.
  • Check if your transfer fee is included in your Vietnam cruise trip, as a lot of shore excursions do not account for the cost of transfer from your location to the port.
  • Bring plenty of mosquito repellent if you are in the Mekong Delta. With all the vibrant nature and tropical conditions, mosquitos are common.
  • Consider choosing a traditional junk boat for cruising in Ha Long Bay or to the local islands. It is a more traditional way of traveling and the best way to experience Vietnamese history and culture as you cruise.
  • Choose guided Vietnam cruise tours, where your local guides will show you the points of interest and educate you about their significance.
