Itinerary

The Marangu route is perhaps the easiest and most comfortable route to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest peak. We will pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha and drive you to Marangu Gate. From there you follow the trail that takes you to the top of the mountain via Mandara, Horombo and Kibo huts.

The route is well-developed and the climb is constant and of moderate intensity. The only portion that is quite demanding is the approach to the summit. However, you also have the option of adding a day for acclimatization at an additional amount if you want to. The advantage of this route is that kiosks selling mineral water bottles, soft drinks, chocolates and beers are available in camp sites throughout the climb.

For more details, please scroll down to the itinerary section.

The standout moment is summit day, when you walk from Gillman’s Point along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak, passing impressive glaciers and ice cliffs along the way. Now fully open for trekking, the Rongai Route is considered by experienced guides to be easier than the popular Marangu Trail, with a high summit success rate and scenic, gradual ascent. The trek begins through cultivated farmland and forest, offering occasional wildlife sightings, before continuing through multiple climate zones on the way to Africa’s highest peak.

Thanks to its gradual ascent profile, the route allows excellent acclimatization and plenty of time to enjoy the changing landscapes before joining other routes later in the climb. 4-Day Mount Meru Private Trek

Embark on a 4-day Mount Meru climbing expedition in Tanzania, ascending one of Africa’s most beautiful volcanic mountains, rising to 4,566 meters above sea level. Less crowded than Kilimanjaro yet more technical in places, Mount Meru offers a rewarding challenge for adventurous trekkers. The ascent is steep and varied, crossing streams and passing through open parkland, dense mountain forest, and high-altitude moorland before reaching a rugged volcanic landscape. The route demands more technical effort than most Kilimanjaro routes, making it an excellent climb for those seeking a tougher mountain experience. Mount Meru is also unique for its wildlife encounters, with chances to spot giraffes, buffalo, antelope, and other animals along the lower slopes. The final ascent follows a narrow, exposed ridge to the summit, delivering dramatic views down into the ash cone far below and across to Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the distance.
