Stretching its way down from the rugged, hill-tribe country along the Chinese border to the abundantly fertile Mekong Delta in the south, this land is as rich and diverse in natural beauty as it is warm and friendly when it comes to the hospitality of its people.
Join us on this ten-day, group tour to discover Vietnam's stunning natural beauty and remarkable cultural heritages. Starting from Hanoi, where we will meet you on arrival, this journey takes you to Ha Long Bay, Da Nang and Hoi An before coming to an end in Saigon (officially known as Ho Chi Minh City).
With an intriguing history spanning over 4,000 years, including occupations from both Chinese and French, the country’s architecture and cuisine is a fascinating testament to cultural diversity. day 1 - Xin chao Vietnam (Hanoi arrival)
Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival, meet our team at the airport and drive to your hotel at the city centre. We will provide you with all the necessary documents like your tour program, domestic flight tickets and contact details today. You are free for the rest of the day. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
Please note that your hotel check-in time is 14:00.
day 2 - Hanoi city tour & cyclo experience
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Considered a charming colonial city, tourists would find Hanoi a typical oriental city with its tree-lined boulevards, lakes and its blend of French, Chinese and Vietnamese architecture.
A cyclo trip will bring you to the charming shopping area of the city's fascinating old quarter, also referred to as '36 streets and 36 wares'. Meet your tour guide and start the trip with Tran Quoc Pagoda, a Buddhist relic and national heritage located on the famous West Lake.
See the outer facade of the Ho Chi Minh Complex, the final resting place of the father of the Vietnamese people. See his house on stilt as well as the One Pillar Pagoda, modelled after a lotus flower, a symbol of Hanoi.
Learn more about the cultures of the 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. Take some rest after that and enjoy lunch in a local restaurant in Hanoi's Old Quarter. Visit the Temples of Literature after lunch. This institution was constructed in 1070 and dedicated to Confucius, sages and talented scholars. Then leave for the legendary Hoan Kiem Lake and the Ngoc Son Temple.
Drive back to hotel after the tour is over. You are free in the evening. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
day 3 - Hanoi – Ha Long Bay
Check out of your hotel after breakfast. Head east from Hanoi and continue for more than three hours to reach the Ha Long Bay, the pride of the Gulf of Tonkin and a Unesco world heritage site. The road will take you through the Red River Delta with green paddy fields and rural villages where you can see hardworking farmers busy with their work.
Enjoy cruising in the Ha Long Bay to discover the odd-shaped limestone rocks and karst grottoes. After a lunch of fresh seafood onboard the boat, you can visit the Surprising Grotto and stop for swimming. Cruise past floating villages to approach islets and enjoy their beauty close up.
Attend activities in the boat in the evening or relax at your own leisure. Stay overnight in the boat.

day 4 - Ha Long Bay – Hanoi
A light breakfast of coffee, tea, seasonal fresh fruits and bread awaits you in the morning. Continue your cruise through the Ha Long Bay, past karst formations, Islets as well as fishing villages.
Your brunch will be served on board the boat before it is time to disembark. Return to Hanoi, arriving at your hotel in city late in the afternoon. You are free after checking in. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
day 5 - Fly from Hanoi to Da Nang & transfer to Hoi An
Check out of your hotel in Hanoi after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight to Da Nang. Meet our representative on arrival and drive to the town (30 minutes).
Have lunch at a local restaurant before setting off on a walking tour of this world heritage site. The highlights of Hoi An include an ancient merchant house, the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the famous, 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the vibrant riverside market.
Check into your hotel after the tour is over and relax. Stay overnight in Hoi An.
day 6 - Hoi An: Lantern making experience and sunset kayaking
Leave your hotel after breakfast. Take a bike to the home of a lantern craftsman. A brief introduction into the history, shape and color of the lanterns is followed by information about the stages involved in making them.
Try bending the lantern frame into shape, cutting cloth and sticking it to the frame. The craftsman will help you with each stage of the experience. Keep the lantern as a souvenir if you want to. Your lunch in the afternoon involves traditional cuisine like cao lau and banh mi.
Spend sometime relaxing at your hotel. Your sunset kayak tour starts at 14:00 with a transfer from the hotel to the kayak station in Cam Thanh. Set off with a kayak after a safety briefing. Paddle along a coco palm forest and local villages all the way to Lantern Town.
Connect with nature, immerse yourself in the life on the river and enjoy amazing landscapes as you paddle into sunset. The trip lasts for three hours. You will have time for refreshment at a local cafe near the town centre if you want to before transferring back to your hotel.
Stay overnight in Hoi An.
day 7 - Hoi An – Da Nang & fly to Saigon
You have some free time after breakfast before transferring to the airport for your flight to Saigon. Check into your hotel in Saigon on arrival and relax.
Your Saigon food tour starts at 17:30. We have designed this three and a half hour tour for you to enjoy a wonderful evening in this city. Travel to non-touristy destinations on the back of our scooter and see the life of the locals.
Drive through districts one, two, three, four, and ten. Sample ten different dishes during this food challenge. Stay overnight in Saigon.
day 8 - Saigon city tour & Cu Chi Tunnels
Your Saigon city tour starts after breakfast. Visit Reunification Palace, one of the most important buildings in the city. Continue to Notre Dame Cathedral and the Ho Chi Minh City Post Office (also known as the Saigon Central Post Office), a fine example of classical French colonial architecture in Vietnam. Also see the War Remnants Museum, which was formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant then head for the Cu Chi tunnels, an underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during their struggle for independence. A short, introductory video dealing with the tunnels' construction will be shown on arrival. Then spend time exploring the underground maze that includes innumerable trap doors, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centres and kitchens.
Drive back to Saigon after your Cu Chi tunnels tour in the late afternoon. You have free time in the evening to relax. Stay overnight in Saigon.
day 9 - Mekong Delta & coconut village
A trip to the Mekong Delta offers a glimpse of the unique and distinct agrarian life of the vibrant southern delta region. Enjoy cruising along the Mekong River to one of the Islands (located in the town of My Tho) where you will be entertained with traditional music while enjoying tea sweetened with honey along with fresh, seasonal fruits.
Then take a paddle boat through the narrow canals of the Mekong. The paddle-boat ride provides an interesting insight into a local cottage industry involved in making coconut candies. Then go around the island by rickshaw to see the life of the locals before returning to Saigon.
day 10 - Saigon departure
Prepare for your departure after breakfast. A private airport transfer will take you to the airport three hours before your departure flight schedule. Please note that the hotel checkout time is 12:00 noon latest.
