Upon landing in Hanoi, we will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. You are free for the reminder of the day after checking in.
Head for one of the most scenic destinations in the world, Ha Long Bay, after breakfast, at around 8:00 AM. The bay covers 577 square miles and has more than 3,000 limestone peaks, or karsts, that jut out of the deep blue waters of the bay as far as the eye can see.
Enjoy your time on board a traditional boat and explore this beautiful landscape. Your boat features hand-crafted wooden interiors that include a dining room and pleasant, air-conditioned cabins with private baths.
See some of the bay’s most beautiful spots. Dive into the water if you want to and visit some of the largest rock formations and caves in the area.
Spend your morning on the upper deck of the boat as it navigates its way past the small rocky islands of the bay. After a wonderful breakfast, you are off to explore the Sung Sot Cave before heading back to the boat where a brunch will be served.
Return to Hanoi after you check out of the boat. Reach the capital at around 3:00 PM. You are free after checking in at the hotel. Head out to explore Hanoi's Old Quarter if you want to. You even have the option of going out for a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show if you want to.
Take a short tour of Hanoi and see some of its most important landmarks. See the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh as well as the One Pillar Pagoda and Temple of Literature. Visit Hoan Kiem Lake, located in the heart of Hanoi, next.
Also see the Opera House and St. Joseph's Cathedral before transferring to Noi Bai Airport. Catch the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel.
After breakfast at your hotel, you have the whole morning to enjoy a city tour that includes some impressive French colonial structures including Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Then visit Reunification Palace, which was the residence of the president of South Vietnam until the end of the war in April 1975. We will also visit the War Remnants Museum if time permits.
After enjoying your lunch, continue your city tour with an afternoon trip to the tunnels of Cu Chi, an incredible underground network that once stretched around 210 miles. This underground complex was built by guerrilla fighters starting in 1940 and its construction continued throughout the Vietnam War.
Return to your hotel after the tour is over. You are free to discover and enjoy Saigon's nightlife on your own if you want to.
Travel to My Tho, the capital of Tien Giang province. Situated on the Mekong River, 75km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City, My Tho is surrounded by orchards and rice fields. Visit workshops producing traditional handcrafts and coconut candies. See a bee-farming operation.
Also included is a visit to the Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in the delta, during your boat trip on the Mekong River. Transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport after the trip is over and catch your flight to Siem Reap. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.
Enjoy the popular Small Circuit tour that encompasses the town and the surrounding areas. Visit the huge pyramid of Takeo as well as the jungle-clad Ta Prohm, made famous by the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Tomb Raider’.
Continue your trip to the impressive royal city of Angkor Thom. See the Bayon, a richly decorated Khmer temple famous for its many gigantic carved faces smiling at passers by. Also visit other important sites in this immense walled city including Baphuon, Phimeanakas and the royal viewing stands known as the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Discover the magnificent Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious complex, in the afternoon. If there is enough time left, your guide will take you to an excellent spot for watching a memorable Angkor Wat sunset. Head back to the hotel in the evening. Enjoy your welcome dinner with a traditional Khmer performance at a restaurant. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.
Head 30km north of the city to visit the captivating and beautiful temple of Banteay Srei. The journey allows you to experience the beauty of Cambodian countryside as you travel past small villages en route to the temple.
Explore the elaborately decorated temple that is embellished with floral motifs and scenes from the Ramayana, all carved on pink sandstone. Continue your Siem Reap tour with a visit to some of the spectacular temples on the Grand Circuit.
Start with Preah Khan (Sacred Sword), one of the largest temples in Angkor. Also see Neak Pean, a temple surrounded by fountains and ponds.
