Settle in for your own Scottish story, filled with soaring mountains, enchanting lochs and mysterious castles. Stroll through a fairytale glen as mist swirls past ancient ruins. Sip on a dram of local Scotch whisky in a cosy fire-lit inn. And spot majestic golden eagles on a Highland safari experience as the Hebrides becomes our home for a while. We’ve woven together the myth and magic of Scotland’s wonderful west, but where it will take you is another tale entirely.
Travelling with a small group with our outstanding guide Lesley Anne and driver Martin made my first tour in Scotland very memorable. Lesley Anne’s knowledge and super interesting commentary added to the spectacular scenery and places we visited - rainy weather at times didn’t matter. Loved the Isle of Arran!
Great accommodation, time in the van was not too long. Van was comfortable but our group wasn’t full.
An excellent , fun time. The scenery was superb and the pace of the trip was perfect. Could have been longer! The accommodation was great. Our tour leader was exceptional. The driver was very good.
Accommodation was excellent, good location and rooms always clean! Our travel companions were great, we had lots of laughs!
Great tour and we had a fantastic guide and driver who brought the group together and really explained the Scottish history.
Abby was a safe and professional driver. Tom McIver has institutional knowledge and the area and is a fabulous guide!
Had a fill in guide as original was ill.
We had a great time on our tour with our guide, G Davidson and driver Abbey. G was a great tour guide speaking with each of us in the group individually to find out what we specifically liked and wanted to see and catered to that. Abbey was a great driver and managed our luggage superbly (don't be fooled because she is a female). Our group was small, the bus was comfortable and we had a great time from beginning to end.
A very enjoyable tour Very attentive guide who listened to everyone Very comfortable mini bus and excellent accommodation Very interesting activities with nes experiences thank you
Relaxed pace, small-group tour with enough time flexibility to allow spontaneous stops to view unusual things. Good accommodation and lovely meals, made for a memorable 7 days.
Excellent itinerary covering uncrowded and interesting places with gorgeous scenery. Accommodation of a high standard. Tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We learned a lot about Scotland's history and culture.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour however found couple of the days very full of activities and then next day 8.15 or 8.30 start I found hard to cope with as had a cold and have a lung condition and am elderly. Unfortunately I will not be able to do any more tours that involve too much walking……that is my problemv
Our guide, Tom McIver did a great job. He was informative, helpful, kept us all on track, was inclusive & has a great sense of humour. The tour was well paced & provided an excellent range of interests. The hotels were lovely, I was very comfortable & well fed. It was a very happy tour. Our driver, Abby Bruce, was an absolute treasure!! She drove brilliantly, was helpful, blended in with the group well, was excellent company & lots of fun. That about sums it up I think.
It was great and my husband and I are saving for our next Blue-Roads Tour
Would have scored a lot higher if the bus situation was better.
Felt that we saw the real Scotland not just tourist sights. Any question was answered. Hotels were lovely.
