Perfect for adventurous young adults and seniors seeking a unique challenge, this journey offers intimate encounters with pristine forests, traditional villages, and dramatic mountain vistas.
The expedition typically begins in Arughat Bazaar or Gorkha Bazaar, winding through the culturally rich enclaves of Soti Khola and Samagaon. Along the way, trekkers immerse themselves in Tibetan-influenced customs, savoring serene alpine lakes and cascading waterfalls. The trek reaches its pinnacle at Larke Pass, soaring to 5,160 meters, where panoramic views of the Manaslu and Annapurna ranges reward your efforts.
Due to its remoteness and elevation, this trip demands preparation and proper acclimatization. The unique selling point of this trek is its blend of breathtaking natural beauty and genuine cultural exchange, away from the crowds—ideal for those craving solitude and authenticity in their Himalayan adventure.
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Kathmandu and take you to Budhi Gandaki, the starting point of our trek. We’ll take a long drive along Prithivi Highway along the banks of Trishuli River, getting a glimpse of the rural life of Nepal along the way and see outstanding landscapes and views of Manaslu, Langtang Himal, and Ganesh Himal. Guests can learn about the local lifestyle of people in Soti Khola, a beautiful valley near the bank of Budhi Gandaki.
After your arrival in Machha Khola, take time to rest and spend the night here.
After breakfast, we will set off from Machha Khola and make our way to Jagat. As we walk along the Budi Gandaki river bank, we will pass through charming Gurung villages, including the picturesque lower Khorlabeshi. Don't forget to admire the locals' traditional Bokkhu clothing.
Along the way, we will come across Tatopani, where you can indulge in a relaxing hot water bath. Afterward, we will cross the Budi Gandaki River again via a suspension bridge and continue until we reach Dobhan. Then, a few hours of hiking will lead us to the quaint village of Jagat, where we will stay for the night.
Today, we will trek from Jagat to Deng. After breakfast, we will start our journey, traveling through exciting terrain and beautiful views. As we progress, we will cross a river and make our way to Philim. We’ll walk through steep paths and pass stunning gorges. Walking alongside the banks of Budi Gandaki River and through bamboo forests, we will reach Deng River.
After crossing the river, we will arrive at our destination for the day. We will spend the night in a cozy teahouse in Deng, have dinner and stay overnight.
Have your breakfast and continue your trek from Deng. To reach Namrung, we will cross a suspension bridge and ascend to Rana and Bihi Phedi.
Along the trail, keep an eye out for adorable white-faced monkeys. As we proceed, we will pass through Ghap.
Following the trail, we will eventually arrive at Namrung. After about an hour of walking, we will reach this charming village, known for its excellent teashops and guest houses, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Note: Be cautious while passing through Ghap. This area is at a high risk for landslides.
After breakfast, we will head to Samagaon. This part of the trek covers a distance of approximately 15.5 kilometers and takes around 6 to 7 hours to complete.
As we ascend, we will gradually reach an altitude of 3,520 meters. The trail offers captivating views of the surrounding landscapes and you can see the beautiful Manaslu and Manaslu North.
Trekking further, we will pass several Tibetan villages like Shyo, Lho, and Shyala. Passing through the beautiful villages we will reach Samagaon. This is our rest stop for the night, which is a picturesque village nestled in the mountains. Here, we can immerse ourselves in the local culture, interact with friendly villagers and enjoy the breathtaking mountain vistas.
Today, we’ll spend a rest day in Namrung village. This beautiful village presents a breathtaking panorama of snow-capped mountains like Ganesh Himal, Singri Himal, Hiunchuli, Manaslu, etc. In the morning, we'll hike to the Manaslu base camp or the Birendra Lake, also known as the Ice Lake. Later, we'll visit Pungyen Gompa, situated on a hilltop.
These hikes let you witness jaw-dropping mountain landscapes. The remaining day is well spent relaxing and watching locals doing their daily activities. Have dinner and stay overnight.
After a full day’s rest, we’ll continue our trek today to Samdo. The trail ascends uphill, following a deserted path and a windy valley. We'll be walking alongside the Budhi Gandaki River and later cross a bridge before joining the trail that leads to Larkya La. The trail then goes by beautiful forests of birch, rhododendron, and juniper.
We'll walk past mani walls and stupas. As the trail progresses, we can find ourselves closer to the Tibetan border (only located 4 km away from Samdo). Enjoy superb views of mountains like Sirmnag Himal, Ngadi Chuli, and Manaslu, along with icefalls and glaciers from this village. Reach Samdo for dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast, continue your trek to Bimthang (3,720 meters), and then across the Larkya La Pass which stands 5,160 meters above sea level. Although the walk up to the pass is strenuous, the panoramic view of Annapurna II, Namjung Himal, Pang Phuchi, Himlung Himal, and the whole mountain stretch makes the day the highlight of this trip.
Later we descend steeply towards the destination. The path taking down towards Bimthang is a little difficult so we need to step carefully. We eventually reach Bimthang to stay overnight. This day of adventure concludes with a joyful experience.

Today, on the final day of our trek, we bid farewell to the mountains as we make our way from Dharapani to Besisahar. This stretch involves a scenic drive that takes approximately 8 to 9 hours.
Once we reach Besisahar, we have the option to continue our journey by either driving to Kathmandu or Pokhara, depending on your travel plans. The drive back offers a chance to reflect on the incredible trekking experience we have had in the Manaslu region. We will be cherishing the memories of breathtaking landscapes and the warm hospitality of the local communities.

I cannot thank the team enough. When we first arrived in Kathmandu they gave us airport pickup and brought to their own hotel, they were the best trekking company for us. We knew Manaslu Circuit was less crowded and more riskier trekking trail. But our guide, he helped us and guided us in so best way that we never saw any guides doing so for us before in Nepal. They are the best trekking and travel partner in Nepal. They have also recommended me and my husband to come back again for some Safari and city tours, which I am really gonna do and do with them.
I did Manaslu Circuit Trek in group joining. We were 11 in our group and had even one assistant guide as promised. Even the porters were so friendly with us. I think nobody ever can give the best trip brief. Our guides and porters really friendly. Their motivation and confidence gave us energy and completion of our trek. More than that let me talk about the guide. Man, he was such a strong guy. He cleared landslides at some places himself. He served us food by himself, I know in mountains guides have to, but he made sure that we were happy. He was even trained for higher altitudes due to which he knew how much our pace should have been in the Manaslu region.
Our journey on the Manaslu circuit surpassed all expectations, becoming an incredible memory. Our group of four, including two newfound friends, added to the enjoyment of the trip. The trek itself was a breathtaking experience, made even more special by the scarcity of fellow trekkers, granting us an almost private connection with the mountains. Our guide was incredibly attentive to our every need. The seamlessness of the entire trip, starting from our arrival in Kathmandu to our departure, left a lasting impression. Undoubtedly, their professionalism shines through, making them an excellent choice for anyone seeking a remarkable adventure.
I wanna tell you about our super fun time on the Manaslu circuit. The views were amazing, and the paths were quiet. We saw different things, like pretty rhododendron forests and big snowy peaks. Our guide, knew a lot and helped us understand the people and nature there. He made sure everyone in our group had a good time, no matter how much hiking they did before. They told us about the trip on the first night, and they took us for a yummy dinner with dancing in Kathmandu. They took really good care of us, and if you want to have a cool adventure, I totally say go with them to explore Manaslu. It's like a hidden treasure waiting for you!
