Manaslu Circuit Trek weaves together adventure, culture, and breathtaking landscapes—a combo that’s making it a top choice for young adults looking for a less-traveled Himalayan route. Surpassing the popularity of the Annapurna Circuit in recent years, this tour package offers a rich journey along authentic trails that pass through ancient Tibetan-influenced villages, gleaming glaciers, and sacred monasteries.
The trek covers the diverse Manaslu Conservation Area, established in 1998 and home to a remarkable array of wildlife, including 33 species of mammals and over 100 species of birds. Over approximately 200 kilometers, trekkers ascend through six unique climatic zones, from tropical forests to arctic landscapes, with constantly shifting panoramas and weather patterns. Along the way, you’ll be treated to uninterrupted views of Mount Manaslu (8,163m)—"The Spirit Mountain"—and other Himalayan giants.
What distinguishes this adventure is its cultural richness, as you’ll walk trails shaped by centuries of Buddhist tradition, all while soaking up the dramatic contrasts in landscape. With fewer trekkers on the route, the Manaslu Circuit promises a more intimate, unspoiled trekking experience. This trip is designed for curious, energetic travelers eager to combine physical challenge with immersive cultural encounters—making it one of Nepal’s most rewarding treks.
Was really quiet as due to the Covid. I enjoyed the Manaslu Circuit trek specially Jagat to Bhimtang part.
We started our trip from Sotikhola though the jeep can go up to Machhakhola. we didn't expect good Lodges in this trip but our tour operator provided us majority of the stay attached room with comfortable bed. Food was yummy. took jeep from Dharapani as we didn't want to walk along the road.

In November, 2021, I completed the Manaslu Circuit trek with a local travel company and had a wonderful experience. They were easy and flexible to work with during the planning phase, and on the trek, my guide, Dipak, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable about the area, fun, encouraging, and safe. During the trek, I was a bit sick (just a cold, fortunately), and he took care of me better than my own mother would have!
Great experience. If you're not afraid of the somewhat basic lodging conditions, you'll not be disapointed. Landscapes are so dramatics, with so many nice little villages and not a lot of trekkers on it. Do it before it becomes too popular (which it will be soon, I'm afraid!)
Amazing trek. If you want no roads, very varied scenery (low and high altitudes), Tibetan villages, and much less tourists that Annapurna this is the one for you. I did it 2nd half of November when was a bit quieter and before higher risk of snow. Would recommend this time but it cold high up.
Not like other treks in Nepal that are already too crowded, Manaslu is well worth exploring.
This is a really exciting trek. I have been hiking/mountaineering for nearly 20 years, and on this trek walked through almost all terrain encountered previously. Yet, it is not overly demanding physically and has no technical difficulties. Exposure to different peoples and cultures also leaves a lasting impression.
An amazingly beautiful trek regardless of how far you get. We unfortunately had too much snow to reach the pass but nonetheless really enjoyed each stop along the way. The people are so friendly and accomodating and it's awesome seeing the change in culture as you get closer to the Tibetan border. Highly recommend if you're looking for something a little different.

A truely wonderful trip. Just went like clockwork. No illness and no issues. The mountains - just beyond words. The organisation - Excellent.
The Manaslu Circuit was beautiful and varied with plenty of Mountain views, evendors thought the weather was mixed during the trek. The trek was challenging at times, but always well worth it. Everything was well organisd and our guide was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable which made the trip even more enjoyable.
Best arrangement although I couldn't complete the trek due to the weather. Thank you for everything.
Had an excellent time. From the beginning emails were replied email promptly and details provided of the trip. Our Guide was awesome and Porter was Super Strong!!
Had good time on my Manaslu Trekking. It was well organize and our Guide was fantastic who provide us enough information about Nepal and Manaslu area. Will be back in Nepal again.
The local tour organizer provided wonderful service on a recent trip . My Guide was the best, He know every Himalayan Peak can explain about the life style of the People , Culture and He even took me all the hidden places around. Raj the owner of the tour company knows how to organize the Trip. I choose this company because of Raj who understood what I wanted, just one word was almost enough ;). Prompt reply on email with details. I definitely recommend his agency.
