Itinerary

Experience the untouched splendor of the Himalayas on the Langtang Valley Trek, a journey that blends natural wonders with deep cultural insights. The trek takes you through landscapes reminiscent of Tibet, both in scenery and Buddhist traditions, while offering accessible road connections from Kathmandu.

Start your trekking adventure at Syabrubesi, making your way through lush forests and traditional Tamang and Sherpa villages. Pass the Lama Hotel and Langtang Village before reaching Kyanjin Gompa, where you’ll be treated to jaw-dropping views of peaks like Dorje Lakpa and Langtang Lirung. For those eager for more, a climb to Chorkari Ri offers a panoramic sweep over the entire valley—an achievement even novice trekkers can enjoy.

Throughout this trip, you’ll explore Langtang National Park’s rich flora and fauna and experience authentic Himalayan hospitality. The main activity is trekking, with the unique selling point being the perfect combination of dramatic landscapes, rich culture, and accessibility—making it a top choice for travelers seeking a classic Himalayan trek within a limited timeframe.

Enjoying Langtang Valley

My trip to Langtang Valley was great. The guide Bikash was very helpfull and supportive plus he also can understand and speak Malay. The agency also provide airport pick up and drop off. Prepare an extra money for your drink or snek at guesthouse cause the agency di not cover for it or for any changes in itinerary. Get fit for the trip and you'll good to go.

Langtang Valley Trek

This trekking is amazing. The only thing really bad is the road from Kathmandu to Syaprubensi, the starting point... 8 painful hours to drive 134 km. Prepare yourself for the road... its even worst that I can tell. You will see different views... the first day maybe is the hardest one, always going up and down in the middle of the forest... but once in the kanjing ri point (4800 meters more or less) you will see that it worths the effort. Some tea houses are very basic but you will be provided with the necessary to assure your personal hygiene... even if they dont have hot shower you can always ask for a bucket of hot water and wash yourself every day. I suggest you to take with you an disinfectant spray for the tea houses bed clothes; some of them have bugs that can go inside your sleeping bag. Maybe the most difficult thing is the toilet, if that is important to you... normally a latrine not so clean as you may expect, but remember that you are in an adventure so try to see it this way. You will cross lots of porters in your way.. remember to give them priority in the way... they hard work deserves our respect and recognition... they are persons like we are. And just one more suggestion: please be careful with the trash... I saw some empty cookies packets, empty bottles of water, cigarettes packets, sweets packets on the way (even sanitary pads)... so keep the trash with you until you find a bin... if we go there its because the nature is important to us so its our duty to protect it. I wish you a good and safe trekking and really hope that you will be so happy as I was over there.

Langtang Valley Trek September 2018

Together with my friend from Qatar, we totally enjoyed the trek! The landscapes were amazing and the Nepali people were so polite and friendly. Prepare yourself for the road! It was terrible. It took us 11hrs from Kathmandu to reach Syabrubesi due to landslide and bumpy and dusty road. The food in the tea houses were a bit costly and the taste was different as i expected.
