For ambitious trekkers craving both high-altitude challenge and Himalayan grandeur, the Island Peak Climbing + Everest 3 High Passes Trek is the ultimate tour package. This journey weaves together the legendary Everest 3 Passes Trek—Kongma La, Cho La, and Renjo La—with a non-technical climb of Island Peak, offering panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and more. The adventure includes scenic trekking through iconic villages, a visit to Everest Base Camp, and glacier crossings. What sets this trekking trip apart is its blend of challenging passes and a Himalayan summit, all without requiring prior mountaineering experience—making it accessible to fit, adventurous travelers eager for a once-in-a-lifetime expedition.
My partner and I had the most amazing experience with this local travel specialist. We completed the three high passes + EBC trail, with my partner even going on to summit Island Peak (successfully!). Our guide Kanchha Tamang made sure we had the best experience - a well planned itinerary to ensure we acclimatised properly, looking out for any signs of AMS, looking after us when we both got sick with viruses on the trail. We had flexibility to change our itinerary a bit to maximise our chance of the best views as we were walking quicker than expected. Kanchha always made sure we had fun, made great memories, learned lots about the culture and history of the regions we were in, and supported us so well through what can be a pretty challenging few weeks on the trail. We miss him already! Special shout-out to our amazing porter Jiban, without whom the trek would not have been possible and for whom we are so grateful. And another special mention to Rajendra who managed our trip and who goes truly above and beyond for his clients. When we mentioned to Kanchha we were interested in exploring Pokhara after our trek had finished, he called Rajendra who then arranged everything for us (flights, accomodation, recommendations for activities, booked us in for paragliding). When we got stranded in Lukla for a few days due to grounded planes, it is due to the tireless efforts of Kanchha & Rajendra that we were able to get out of the mountains on a helicopter and continue our holiday.
Each day was better than the previous with great scenery. Danu, my guide, was very organized and did an outstanding job.
I had an awesome trek in December on the three high passes and Everest base camp circuit. From my arrival in Kathmandu, everything was very well organized until I leave the country. I was taken care of by Rajendra, the owner, who made sure I had everything I needed and lended me some missing equipment for the trek. During the 3 weeks of the trek, my guide Kanchha was outstanding ! He was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He always made sure I was comfortable and safe and patiently waited for me and even helped me carry some of my stuff during the most challenging parts of the climb :). This has been an amazing experience. I will definitely come back for another trek !
This trip will challenge you in so many ways but the rewards are worth it. In my opinion, this is the perfect trip because you still get a taste of the regular EBC route along with the comforts that are on that route, but you also branch off and get to experience a much less beaten path within Nepal. The passes also do a great job of preparing you for the ultimate challenge....Island Peak. As for Island Peak, I promise you'll look back on the experience and think, "wow...I really did that". Having seen the three pass route and parts of the regular EBC route, I recommend this trip for anyone wanting a more remote and challenging experience, helping to prepare for a 6000m summit.
This Trek was difficult, but very rewarding. Our guide Venn was always happy and willing to give advice and encouragement whenever needed. He was always on standby for anything we requested, and was happy to do so. The Porters are amazing, and deserve huge credit for the service they provide. The group of Trekkers were awesome and we bonded well. Overall, i highly recommend this Trek to all Adventurers.
