The thought of a week in India was a little daunting but Explore had a great itinerary that was superbly organised. Great hotels, knowledgeable local guides, a very safe bus driver and most of all a fantastic leader, Neha, gave me and my daughter an experience that will stay with us forever. The tour was an absolute bargain taking in the main sights of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur together with some less known attractions along the way. Highly recommended, will definitely be going back, hopefully for a bit longer.
The tours was full on but very enjoyable. The Leader was very knowledgeable and passionate about the subjects he talked to us about.
Our guide, Pradeep, was fantastic and really made the trip as he was so knowledgeable. Everything ran seamlessly from start to finish and we really got a feel for the local area as well as tourist bucket list moments!
Fabulous holiday, action packed but with comfort in mind. There were 10 of us travelling in a spacious air conditioned bus and a great leader, Anil who knew everything about Indian history, food, culture, architecture. The views were amazing and every day we were astonished at the workmanship of the buildings in front of us. Thanks to Anil we were kept up to date with everything to do with the history of the buildings. I would fully recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see such iconic buildings and a taste of true India.
Aníl was a fantastic tour leader with great organisational skills meaning everything was seamless. The hotels were all above my Explore expectations and the transport and driver were first class. Anil took us to great restaurants and we ate amazing food. The sites we visited were just as amazing as when l did the same Explore tour 16 years ago. Great group also added to the enjoyment of the trip.
Brilliant trip - well organised from start to finish. Excellent knowledgeable guide (A’Neil), good group of people, fantastic experience
Incredible India, lived up to its name. The tour surpassed anything I was expecting. The group gelled well . We had fun over and above the scheduled tour. I intend to return to see more of India. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in India the country.
The Golden Triangle - wow what a fabulous holiday, highly recommend for anyone who’s even thinking about it. So much culture, architecture, so many beautiful buildings, and amazing food. The people are lovely and our guide Kartike, a wealth of knowledge and a lovely guy, fantastic leadership, making it an unforgettable experience 🥰
Really enjoyed the Itinerary and the planning. The sights visited were amazing and the hotels and accommodation was very good. It was a very good group we were in and the number of people was just right. The whole trip was made even more enjoyable by having a lovely tour leader who was Neha Trivedi Mishra. She had so much knowledge of the places we visited. She was friendly, spoke excellent English, possessed great communication and organisational skills and was a pleasure to be around. She got to know every member of the group and watched out for them and I have to thank her for the time she took to make sure our meals were nut free for my wife who has a nut allergy. She took everything in her stride and had a good rapore with all the other guides we linked up with. I would definitely want her as my tour guide again. The one thing I would mention as a negative about the trip was that we visited a couple of places to see craft works which was ok but afterwards we were subjected to some very high pressure selling from salesman at the venue. It got to be very embarrassing as no one had come on holiday with a view to buying a carpet but the salesmen were unrelentless in their pursuit of a sale. We wasted too much time in these places and I would suggest they are taken out of the Itinerary. Would certain do another Explore trip.
A well organised trip that took in all the key sites
This was my second trip to India and second trip with Explore, but my first trip as a solo traveller and I had a fantastic time! The itinerary was full on, exciting and fast-paced, crammed with spectacular sites and sights, which is just what I wanted. Our leader Indira was very experienced and professional, knowledgeable and informative, guiding us gently and always keeping an eye out for every one of us; her organisation was smooth and seamless. The hotels were generally clean and comfortable; two were on busy, noisy roads, but I decided honking horns were all part of the experience. My favourite hotel had a beautiful garden and I was delighted to see a peacock walking around. There was bottled water in each hotel room. I loved the food - not being a fan of hot, spicy food I asked for mild or no spice and I got exactly that, which made me very happy! Our bus was comfortable, with air con, and bigger than on my previous trip with Explore, with a large boot for luggage instead of suitcases piled up precariously on the back seat. The driver did a great job and kept us safe. His helper was there to help you get on and off the bus, if needed, and filling up our water bottles was never too much trouble. I recommend this trip!
An excellent trip with an extremely good tier guide in Indira Wadhwa
A fabulous introduction to India. This tour was fast and furious and crammed in so many wonderful experiences in such a short amount of time. Our guide, Indira, was an absolute gem, handling a large group with the attention span of an easily distracted flock of magpies extraordinarily well. Ould absolutely recommend.
Indira, our tour leader, was fantastic. She was welcoming, friendly, informative and nothing was too much trouble. She was patient and very good humoured; we trusted her decisions and always felt safe.
My first experience of Explore and this holiday exceeded my expectations on all levels. It was so easy and the guide was second to none! As we explored Delhi, Agra and Jaipur our guide carefully explained the culture and heritage of India so that we could put all that we saw in context. A fabulous, funny, life affirming and full-on experience. Thank you.
Excellent trip , managed to see so many cultural sites and the intensity of activities was really good . The tour leader was 💯 and could not do enough to make the trip wonderful - Neha. She was so insightful and managed the group really well . Small areas for improvement from my perspective - replace the car museum and visits to textile and pottery factories with more cultural activities Overall a wonderful insight into India
Neha, our Explore guide, was better than outstanding. She really cared for her country and wanted us to see and understand the country and enjoy it as much as she does. So, she told us some history, not overwhelming amounts, explained issues and always could answer questions. She never told us too much initially so we could enjoy the awesomeness of the place. She has also kept in touch as a friend since
This trip is a great way to pack a lot in, with a limited amount of time. The sights do not disappoint and even though it’s been 10 years since we both last visited India, the love affair continues! A special mention goes to our wonderful guide, Neha. Unflappable, kind & a superb ambassador for her crazy, colourful country. We were blessed with a fantastic group, all taking in what India has to offer in our varied strides. I would probably give the Motor Museum a miss at the end of the tour and replace with a bit more of Delhi (India Gate perhaps?) But just a mild criticism of a great week in a beautiful & vibrant country.
Fantastic time at the Golden Triangle tour with our superb tour leader Keshav. India is certainly a full on country so being part of a guided group made exploring it so much more accessible!
The trip was fantastic, we saw so much, everything we expected to and more. Indira is a wonderful guide and a pleasure to spend time with.
Harsh was an excellent tour leader. He had a small group but some very demanding clients. He did a brilliant job and is very knowledgeable. Did not like the Rockland Hotel. Quality of that hotel was below the standard expected.
