New Delhi Rickshaw, cycle or local transport Trips

Accomodation: • The standard of accommodation far exceeded my expectations and was excellent throughout the trip. All rooms were clean, reasonably sized for 2 people and had aircon and/ or ceiling fans. Itinarary: • The itinerary was well balanced between the well known sites in Dehli, Agra and Jaipur, as well as including other not-to-be missed activities such as the "home cookery class" in Agra, and the Craft Centre (Block Printing, Rug Making, Textiles etc.) in Jaipur. The visit to a Bollywood cinema was another unique experience ! • Travelling by road in India can take time due to the distances, but it gives visitors the chance to experience life in smaller rural towns and see a wide range of agricultural . The airconditioned minibus was very comfortable. • At most historic sites we had dedicated local guides who were well informed and spoke good english. Leader: • "G" (Gajendra), was an excellent leader and guide who kept us well informed as to the plan for each day, and also for specific local visits. He was very approacheable and easy to talk to. He dealt admirably with the challenges of shepherding the group into central Dehli on the Metro , and keeping us together as we walked through the Chandni Chowk market !

What a superb quick tour around some of India's most iconic sites (of course, including the Taj Mahal). As we have come to expect with Explore tours, our tour leader was excellent - a real advocate for the country. Accomodation was also better than expected with some really amazing 'heritage' hotels. Food, without exception, was fabulous.

The trip was as advertised full on. India is a culture shock but with our guide Neeraj Beneda we had an excellent support that allowed us to experience everything on the itinerary and more. Wow what a country

A fabulous tour of the India’s Golden Triangle - Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. We covered so much in a week, including wonderful historical sites including the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. We also got a great taste of life in India including a thrilling ride in a rickshaw through old Delhi! The hotels were good and the transport very comfortable. Optional extras included a cookery demonstration and a visit to a wonderful cinema in Jaipur to see a Bollywood movie. Best of all was our wonderful local tour Leader, Nicky, who was funny, kind and efficient and got us round very safely. This was my first trip to India but not my last! I fell in love with the place and its people and would love to return and do another Explore trip. Highly recommended.

Best trip ever, fantastic guide who made the trip all the more enjoyable with his knowledge of his country and its history. Raj went above and beyond to make the trip safe, fun and intresting. And our driver Sanjay also worked tirelessly to ensure we arrived at each destination on time, safe and sound. Both gentlemen worked so hard to ensure we all had a great time. Grest time, great people, fantastic memories.

As an introduction to India this trip ticked all the boxes for me. The pace is full on and there are some early starts but seeing the Taj Mahal at sunrise is something I Wii never forget. Our guide was brilliant, extremely knowledgeable and organised. He definitely made sure our experience of India was unforgettable. I am looking forward to going back one day.
