Busy Transfers to airport did not turn u
It was really a great experience with Tour Director and nice people in the group. Stress free journey from one place to another, Hotels were good. Optionals were bit over so we skipped most of them. Trafalgar need to give more thought on Vegetarian food when booking hotels for the travellers. But rest everything was on dot. We really loved it.
It was great. I totally enjoyed this experience
While there are a lot of places and things to do, it was well planned and executed. Top points to our Tour Director and our Driver. They stepped up above and beyond numerous times. They genuinely enjoy what they do, and it was shown for the entire trip.
I would recommend it as you get to see alot, and you are motivated to get out of bed. Not a holiday for the faint hearted as you are on the move. The guide as well as driver make the trip so entertaining . Had a ball.
It was just amazing, everything I expected to see I did and more.
Itinerary was good. We had sufficient time to rest if you wanted or you could party all night if you preferred. We had a good amount of time in different countries and cities.
Great European trip
I would've given 5 stars if the hotels were in better locations, especially the Hotel in Paris, Nice and Rome. Prague was the highlight with 5/5 hotel location and local specialist was very knowledgeable and humorous.
We could have started in Paris rather than paying for one night in London only to get up and travel to Paris. Very busy with lots of walking so people need to be fairly fit.
The itinerary was excellent. Each day filled with 3 or 4 activities sometimes including a dinner or outing. It was very tiring, and there were days when we struggled to keep up, but we did come to see Europe and so we pushed on and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our guide was excellent. His knowledge of history and local stories and events is extraordinary. On arrival in each place he pointed out supermarket, pharmacy, best foods, sights to see and not to be missed. Then a few hours to explore at leisure. Our amazing driver got us out of some very close situations including one with 2mm spare around his mirror! He was wonderfully attentive to details, the aircon on and running when we climbed out of 38°C heat, back onto the coach. kept the coach so clean you could lick it!! I would recommend prepaying gratuities for your guide and driver. Other day guides can be paid approx €5 each after their tour.
Wonderful tour, great fellow travellers, the tour director was excellent as was the coach driver. The two night stays were great to get a bit of a break from packing and unpacking each day. The itinerary was fully packed, the tour director had vast historical and local knowledge as we went through the different countries.
The trip was exceptional and we had a great tour director and bus driver Fortunato The tour director was very passionate about the history of everywhere we went and he told a great story !!! I would wholly recommend this tour.
Saw an amazing amount of spectacular landmarks, out of the way hidden gems and learned so much with our Tour Director and Local Specialists. Not sure how we fit it all in !
absolutely the best experience with trafalgar and recomend it to other travellers would have to rate our tour guide simply the best and his knowledge of all countries we visited in europe was outstanding would rate trafalgar a ten out of ten accommodation quality up to date bus so so comfortable and various meals were amazing and would not hesitate to book direct with trafalgar rather than go through helloworld so so poor service with trafalgar this was a trip of a life time five star thanks trafalgar and a big thanks to just a gentleman
I had some tiny, tiny rooms, two showers that were so small you had to get in sideways, and could not bend. Three room with thick dust webs hanging in corners and curtains. Too many hours of sitting in the bus in one day, with nothing to do but sit. Many days. Hours and hours of history although interesting, some commentary on what is happening now, and what we were passing, would of been nice. Great driver, tour guide was extremely informative regarding history. Most meals were great, some good but some not so good. Over all I enjoyed the tour.
Covered many highlights and famous landmarks good comfortable accommodation well located vary of enjoyable options experienc local villages and evenings g meal at local restaurants tour guide very Informative with history of countries
We saw a little bit of a lot of places but expected that when we booked. No late starts but a lot of 2 night stays that helped.
The itinerary is good but the tour guide we had made it better then it is.
Amazing trip. So much to see packed into one month. Food was great as were the hotels. had so much local knowledge about all the countries we visited as well as speaking the language. He was enthusiastic and the group was a lot of fun. Great trip would recommend this trip as one of the best life experiences.
Very informative. A great trip. It was full on so quite tiring.
A great introduction to Europe it is pretty full on. To get the most out of your trip you must be able to walk.
Be aware that the optional excursions are an added extra cost that are pretty much necessary as what we expected as routine sightseeing was not included in the package
Got to see a lot in 28 days. A taster of 13 different countries. Really bonded with our group and our Tour Guide was simply the best, going above and beyond to make sure our experience was a trip to remember. And it was!. is the best.
Be prepared for a fast-paced all-inclusive adventure. Time is precious. The only negative, early starts, bus rides, servos and quick stops (all necessary evils). The travel director Rhi told me that I won't remember this stuff and she was so right. I remember Mother's Day in in the Swiss Alps, Walking around the colosseum at dusk, operatic restaurant experiences, the Statue of David, gondolas in Venice and football.
some of the food at the dinner and show options (eg lucerne) was pretty average. very late meal at koblenz - scheduled for 7pm but first course arrived well after 8pm and the dessert was delivered after 9.30. always a difficult juggling act between trying to see too much and trying to relax. on average the hotel rooms were better than i expected.
Even though the countries and cities we visited were spectacular, it was just a money grab from Trafalgar. There were optional experiences that were virtually every day which were of some expense. Some were great but a lot were disappointing, in some lunch or dinner options, we were cramped in with coach loads of other tourist which made things very uncomfortable with no room to eat in comfort. There were many sight seeing optional tours that were, again, great but some disappointing. Our Tour Director was a pleasant person, but when it came to walking and guiding us at some locations, we were left behind, as we were elderly, but still capable of doing the walking, but we needed to go at our own pace, which obviously was not quick enough. After a lengthy tour such as ours we needed, towards the end, to do our own site seeing of which we noticed other tourist with guides going a much easier pace than ours. Finally, I'd like to mention the gratuities that we had to pay was ridiculous, between 7 & 10 Euros per day per person for the Tour Director was absurd, on a tour that lasted 27 days and when the Euro was virtually double the Australian dollar, insane. Of course our driver was also expected to receive gratuities of between 5 & 7 Euros a day per person of which we didn't mind paying for he was the one doing all the work. Our Tour Director, when she received our envelope, was obviously disappointed and honestly, was not as friendly during the tour to that last day. Oh well, we paid what we thought was adequate. We won't travel with Trafalgar again.
This is a action packed 27 days, it is a "Taster Tour" to see where you would like to visit in depth in the future
Rhi Smith did a fantastic job as tour director and Domenico was a great amazing driver. Very busy tour but covered so much and learnt so much about each country
