Frequently asked questions relating to this tour or destination.
I booked this trek at quite short notice in September 2018. My schedule was a bit tight so I had to cut the trip short from the standard 12 days down to 11, but this was no problem for Friends adventure who were able to fit the trek in plus an extra day of whitewater rafting as well. Hira, my guide, was very helpful, knowledgable and friendly and made sure everything went to plan, so that I managed to make it to Base Camp and Kala Pathar as well (and I'm an unfit 50 year old who hadn't really done enough training). The trek itself was spectacular and everything I'd hoped it would be. I would definitely recommend Friends Adventure to anyone planning a trip to Nepal.
I took this trip in the beginning of September, 2017. I was provided with everything I needed and my guide, Venn was very kind, attentive and knowledgeable.
Reaching an iconic destination of Nepal is an experience definitely worth taking. It is a bit difficult but rewarding. The trek gives a lot of chances to get aquianted with a very versatile culture and nature of Nepal, meet a lot of interesting people and make great photos
Excellent Trek! I found the guides very knowledgable, energetic and helpful. I am very thankful for Rajendra for his big smile
We had a great trip. Rajendra was waiting for us in Kathmandu, and he took us to our hotel. He suggested places to visit in the city, and checked if we had the necessary gear. After an amazing flight to Lukla, we began our trek. Our guide and porter were excellent, and we had some very nice hiking days. In Gokyo, I got sick (pneumonia and pulmonar oedema) and had to be evacuated. Rajendra was on top of things, and he managed to get a helicopter to take me to Kathmandu. Since our trekking was interrupted, after leaving the hospital Rajendra arranged other places to visit in Nepal. We went to Chitwan National Park, and it was amazing. The birds are spectacular, and there is a lot of wildlife (deer, rhinoceros, crocodiles, boar, and even tiger prints). We then went to Pokhara, where we enjoyed the views of the Annapurna, as well as some hiking to the World Peace Stupa. Rajendra did everything in his power to help us and he was flexible with rearranging our plans. Even during a medical emergency, Rajendra was extremely helpful to take me to Kathmand.
I booked a 14 day trip alone to EBC. I usually travel alone im the US, but i was quite hesitant to do so in a different country. However, everything was planned out from being greeted at the airport, hotel accommodations while in Kathmandu, flight to lukla, permits, a great guide and porter, and even being dropped off at the airport, all at a reasonable price. Even now, after being back in the US for a few days, both Rajendra keep checking up on me making sure I am doing well. They really do look after you and also do it with a shinning smile.
This was an amazing trip in so many ways. Besides the obvious scenery and culture, mother nature intervened and I was in a middle of a 7.9 earthquake and avalanche while there. I was so thankful to have my guide Dhana from Friends AdventureTeam. Having a good made it a much easier time for me. He was courteous and knowledgeable. He took great care of me. Made sure I saw as much as I could and was very easy to talk to. I want to go back again next year!
