I did the Everest Base Camp trek with this tour operator as a solo traveler. I was placed in a group of five other fellow travelers. From start to finish, it was an incredible experience. Thanks to Sujan, who meticulously planned my trip and was highly responsive throughout the process. Our guide, Milan, was exceptional. His professionalism, kindness, and friendly behavior made the trek unforgettable and enjoyable. Milan's constant attention to our safety and wellbeing ensured a smooth and secure journey. Overall, it was a once in a lifetime experience, and I highly recommend this tour operator their outstanding service.
This trip overall was very challenging. The EBC trek for me was more mentally challenging that I have encountered ever in my life. The local travel specialist took care of everything from the time they picked me up from airport from the time they dropped me back at the airport. All I had to worry about was the trekking part 😁.
I started the Everest Base Camp trek with Nimesh in March 2019, and I absolutely loved having him as my guide. At every step, from the initial pre-trip meeting to handling flights to Lukla to directing the porters and dealing with our crazy group, Nimesh was kind, patient, steadfast and intelligent. I hurt my ankle in Namche Bazaar and, since I insisted on continuing, Nimesh quickly arranged a horse and horseman to take me to Tengboche. He treated my ankle that night with knowledge and care. When the next morning it became apparent I could not go on, he immediately called a helicopter and had me on it in less than 20 minutes, then had his friend meet me in Lukla to meet the helicopter and arrange the flight back to Kathmandu. I cant imagine what it would have been like to try to do all this myself, but Nimesh handled the situation with empathy and urgency. Nimeshs insight into the culture, expert counsel to his clients and skill on the trail are beyond compare. Plus, hes a great conversationalist and very funny, and truly wants to learn about his clients. I am returning this year for another EBC trip with Ace, and insisted on having Nimesh as my guidebecause I wanted the best, and thats what he is. I cant wait!
I would highly recommend this local tour agency to the people who are willing to go for any kind of trek in Nepal, such a friendly and helpful team .
Absolutely wonderful experience from A to Z. Spotless planning and execution of the entire trip by Ace Himalaya. Our guide Ram was attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely doing everything to make our journey a fantastic experience. Cudo's. Highly recommended. Thanks for an unforgettable experience in the Himalayas.
Raj was the best guide. His assistant Romas (should soon be a guide) was so attentive to our needs and always smiling and helpful with everything. The mood was always casual and happy, which I can only imagine is tough with spoiled Westerners constantly complaining about everything form the bathroom facilities, to the traditional food, to the weather. Everyone in our group had a great time!
The EBC trek was challenging, physically and mentally, and beyond gorgeous and fulfilling. A big part of my success was the entire team from Ace, from the drivers to the facilitators at the airport to the Kathmandu guides, and particularly our incredible guide Ram. They took care of our every need, and made our trip run so smoothly. The trek was beautiful, full of incredible views, challenging and varied terrain, and personal achievements. Thank you Ace and Ram for making this possible!
I would like to thank everyone for the unforgettable 42 days with you in Nepal. From the individual planning to the last day of the trip everything worked perfectly. There are many tour operators in Kathmandu. The competition is very big but there are differences in service and professionalism. I have chosen you because of its professional appearance, sustainability and the cooperation with the mountain people in the Gorkha Valley who have been badly affected by earthquakes. About 80% of the employees come from this region. Many of them lost their homes or relatives in 2015 and many were destroyed by the earthquake. Prem K Khatry is doing an incredible job. He has built up many jobs at his company as well as SAMBHAV NEPAL. The organisation collects money for the reconstruction of schools, infrastructure, water systems, houses etc. in the Gorkha area. Most of the guides come from there and can feed their families. Before my trip I also participated in the Greiffeseelauf 2018 (half marathon) as a sponsor runner for SAMBHAV NEPAL (Switzerland). Thanks to my private sponsors I was able to transfer about 800 USD to SAMBHAV. Also the occasion was the ideal preparation for my time in the Himalayas. On the first day after my arrival I took part in an unforgettable city tour. This gave me a first insight into the life and culture of Nepal. A few days later I started the 14 days EVEREST BASE CAMP (EBC) Trek with a small group (3 guests, 1 guide & 2 porter). Our guide RESHAM RANA took good care of us the whole time and knows every single mountain with name and height. The guesthouses where we spent the night were among the best in the region. The highlight of the trek was the sunrise in Kalaphatar (5643m) with view on the roof of the world and the Khumbu glacier. After the EBC Trek I was driven for some days in the REBUILD HOME PROGRAM to Aruphokari (Gorkha valley) where I stayed overnight in the tent with a family. The family took good care of me and I was able to experience the Dashain Hindu Festival and my birthday close up with the local families. Many thanks (dhanyebad) to SUJAN KHATRY and his family for the cordiality. Besides, I worked with the construction workers to build new houses in the region. The REBUILD HOME PROGRAM was a social service that I can recommend to everyone. It gives you an insight into the daily life in the village. In addition, one gives something back to the hearty locals and does good for the wonderful country and the people. After the social service I was picked up and taken directly to the start of the 18 days MANASLU CIRCUIT TREK. My guide RAM PRESAD LAMICHHANE took care of us during the whole tour and has become a good friend. Our group consisted of 4 guests, 1 guide and 2 porter. The guesthouses were always very well selected and we always had the best service from start to finish. The highlight of the MANASLU CIRCUIT TREK was the crossing of the Larkya Pass (5141m). The trek was unforgettable and the nature fantastic. After the whole program I had some days of rest in Pokhara and Begnas Lake. After the tours we had a farewell dinner with the guides in a typical Nepalese restaurant. The 6 weeks in Nepal remain with me in best memory. I hope that I can come back as soon as possible. Many thanks to all involved for the unforgettable time. I wish you, your families and Nepal much success for the future. Namaste & Dhanyebad Reto
