Culminate your trip in Agra, standing in awe of the Taj Mahal and Red Fort. day 1 - Arrive at New Delhi Airport
Namaste and welcome to incredible India! After you land in New Delhi, you will be welcomed by our English speaking colleague and driven to your hotel. We will design and adjust this day depending on your arrival time.
day 2 - Delhi Sightseeing
After breakfast you begin the city tour of the Indian capital. First we go to Old Delhi, exploring the small streets, markets and spice shops. The Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid), the largest mosque in India, is also located here. An exciting rickshaw ride into the busy lanes of Chandni Chowks is another experience. Your guide will explain various specialties prepared by the street vendors. You might want to try some!
Explore the Raj Ghat, the tomb of Mahatma Gandhi, and Humayun tomb next. New Delhi is on the agenda in the afternoon. The wide, tree-lined streets contrast with the small alleys. Here you will visit the Triumphal Arch, the Presidential Residence and the Parliament Building. A spiritual stop is the Sikh temple Gurudwara.
day 3 - Transfer to Rishikesh
Early in the morning you will be driven to Rishikesh, birthplace of yoga and is one of the holiest cities of India. From here the river “Mother Ganga” flows from the mountains into the plains. At the end of this day, you will take part in the Aarti ceremony and ritual on the banks of the river. Be enchanted by the magical atmosphere in Rishikesh.
day 4 - Rishikesh Retreat
One of the oldest treasures of Indian culture and tradition is the science of yoga. Yoga is mentioned in the Upanishads, the later part of the Vedas, which form the philosophical basis of Yogic Science. Yoga has been practiced in India for thousands of years. Maybe you have read the book Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert or seen the film with Julia Roberts, part of the story takes place here in Rishikesh. If you wish, you can devote the next two days to meditation and yoga and thus reconnect with your inner self.
day 5 - Rishikesh Retreat
Today you will be spending your entire day in the Ashram and doing spiritual activities in Rishikesh.
day 6 - Transfer to Udaipur
In the morning you will be driven in a private car to Dehradun airport for your flight to Udaipur via Delhi. Udaipur, a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan, is also called 'The City of Lakes' or 'The Venice of the East' and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in North India.
In Rajasthan, almost every city can tell its own story, all have their own charm, but Udaipur has a special atmosphere. After you land in Udaipur, we will meet you and drive you to your hotel. In the evening, attend a cultural music and dance show at Bagore Ki Haveli Palace. The palace is located on the banks of Lake Pichola, which dates back to the 18th century.
day 7 - Udaipur Sightseeing
After a yoga session in the morning, today you will discover 'The Venice of the East.' You will visit the City Palace, built in 1725, which impresses visitors with its glittering mirrors and countless ornaments. You will also visit the picturesque Saheliyonki Bari garden and the Jagdesh Temple, built in 1651 and dedicated to the god Vishnu. At sunset you can enjoy a boat ride in Lake Pichola.
day 8 - Transfer to Pushkar
This morning you will also take part in a yoga session. After breakfast we continue our journey to Pushkar, a pilgrim city and historically important small town in Rajasthan. The world's only Hindu temple dedicated to the god Brahma is located here.
Pushkar is also famous for its large desert market. The festival is held every November in the city of Pushkar on the occasion of 'Karthik Purnima.' This is the largest and most colorful folk festival with many traditional dances of North India. In the evening enjoy a ceremony at Pushkar Lake.
day 9 - Transfer to Jaipur
After morning yoga, the journey continues to Jaipur today. Jaipur was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II (1686–1743) as the new capital of the princely state of Jaipur. Jaipur is called 'The Pink City' because of the uniform pink color of the buildings in the old town district. In the evening, you will attend a culinary demonstration of Indian cuisine and enjoy the prepared meal for dinner.
day 10 - Jaipur Sightseeing
Start the day with a yoga session and after breakfast you set off to visit the Amber Fort. You can go to the fort by jeep. The name of the fort comes from the goddess of fertility Amba Mata, the revered Mother Earth. A city tour of Jaipur is next. Well-known monuments are Jantar Mantar, the Stone Observatory, Hawa Mahal and the City Palace, are among the sites you will be visiting. If you wish, you can also attend a school that takes care of orphans.
day 11 - Transfer to Agra
After a final yoga session in the morning, the final leg of your India trip awaits you. On the way to Agra there is Abhaneri. The main attraction of the place is the impressive step well 'Chand Baori,' one of the most beautiful of its kind in Rajasthan. This water reservoir was used for irrigation as well as for religious rituals in the adjacent temple. In the late afternoon, a beautiful and romantic view of the Taj Mahal awaits you.
day 12 - Taj Mahal Tour and Transfer to Delhi for Departure
Early in the morning you will visit the 7th wonder of the world, the world-famous, fairy-tale tomb Taj Mahal, whose silhouette is considered a symbol for all of India.
The tomb was built by Shah Jahan around 1643 for his beloved wife Mumtaz. The Red Fort is another very interesting monument that you will see today. The Mughal ruler moved his capital to Agra in the 16th century. The fort was then further expanded to its current size by Jha Jahan.
Finally, you will drive back to Delhi and be transferred to the airport. Your Indian adventure now comes to an end and you begin your journey home.
