For young adults eager for adventure and high-altitude thrills, the Annapurna Circuit Trek is a true classic. Spanning 15 days, this trekking trip winds through a spectacular variety of landscapes—lush valleys, cascading waterfalls, vibrant villages, and the towering peaks of the Himalayas.
Travelers will trek anti-clockwise from Besisahar to Jomsom, with the breathtaking Thorong La Pass (5,416m) as the crown jewel of the journey. Along the way, you’ll experience the unique cultures of diverse mountain communities, staying in traditional teahouses and crossing the Marshyangdi and Kali Gandaki rivers countless times.
The ever-changing scenery, combined with the sense of achievement from conquering challenging terrain, makes this tour package a must for those seeking both natural beauty and a sense of accomplishment. The standout feature is the legendary Thorong La Pass crossing—a rite of passage for serious trekkers.
My boyfriend and I decided to do this trek and jump straight in the deep end with not much trekking experience let alone at altitude. We couldn't have been happier with Dawa our guide and Ravindra our porter. Right from our pickup at the airport all the way through to our final dinner in Kathmandu, we were always looked after so well. Dawa was also very experienced and knew a lot about the circuit as well as the history and culture of Nepal. We learnt so much and are so pleased we this trek.
The pre-trek conversation was amazing. Upendra, the director of the company answered so many nonsense questions. The whole trip was a beautiful memory for us. Our guide Dawa and porter were very patient, helping and caring. We wouldn't have made the trip without their continuous support. The dinner at the end arranged by the company was amazing. Foods and accommodation during the trek were great especially when we met many other trekkers ending with complaints about their guides and poor quality lodges. Flying home soon with lots of great memories!
Unfortunately, our flight to Lukla was cancelled for 2 days and we decided to divert to Annapurna Circuit Trek as we didn't have more time to wait. It was definitely a great trekking worth doing.
We were so blessed with weather almost throughout the journey (the pass day was not clear). The trek was amazing, a little disappointed as we couldn't do our originally planned Everest Base Camp Trek due to weather, everything else went great! Very happy with the company and their performance!
We were diverted to Annapurna Circuit as our originally planned Everest Base Camp Trek couldn't happen however we are very happy with Annapurna Circuit Trek. Everything was great, we were so blessed with weather and the route was relatively peaceful. The villages specially above Pisang are amazing with great views of Himalayas. A little disappointed with Everest weather but we will be back soon!
I am upset that we couldn't go to Everest Base Camp, however, I am happy that we made all the way to Annapurna Circuit and crossed Thorong La Pass at 5416M which is the highest altitude that I have been to. When the plan to do Everest Base Camp was failed we 4 people decided to go to Annapurna Circuit which was definitely a great recommendation. We will be back to do Everest Base Camp soon! Thank you for a beautiful trekking in Nepal, we loved it!
Thank you, Upendra for inviting me to share my opinion about the trek. Well, I had a fantastic time with you and your company during my Annapurna Circuit Trekking. I am very satisfied with your tour plan and all the services. I am glad to recommend you to other people. Even though the flight from Jomsom to Pokhara wasn't possible, you did a great job arranging alternative way within very short time. It was really a great experience.
Excellent! Great company and excellent trip organizing! Happy to travel with them.
I did the AC mid of April and joined another booking. So in the end we've been three girls (more or less the same age) from three different countries doing a 15days trip together! Starting off as strangers finishing as friends :) The whole procedure beforehand (communicating with Upendra via email, getting all information I've asked for a short time) was really helpful and supportive. Good customer service in the first place, thanks for that! The trek was more than amazing and we've been so lucky with the weather. Our guide KV knew a lot and shared a lot of stories with us. We all got along quite good and it was really convenient for us that we didn't have to worry about anything. The food and the guesthouses have been tasty and comfortable. We've also decided to hire two porters to support us on the way which was a good choice in the end. In case one of us got sick and couldn't carry so much we had a good back up. None of us had any issues with the altitude as the trip was perfectly planned so our bodies could acclimatize well. The only issues what we had with our guide were some misunderstanding in communication - nothing major though (not too sure if that was a language problem or a cultural problem). KV was really keen on doing a good job but sometimes felt disrespected if we've preferred to do things in a different way (e.g. eat something else). I would definitely recommend the company and the trek. I've got more out of this than I've expected. My plan is coming back to Nepal and doing another tour with them.
I wanted to give this trek and company more than 1 star. However, I think it's important for people to know that they willingly employ guides who make their clients feel uncomfortable. My guide, Hem, was constantly trying to touch my face and give me massages, both of which I refused multiple times. When I brought this up at the end of the trek to the manager, he seemed so shocked! "Hem has never had a complaint like this before!" he said. I cannot believe that mine is the first complaint they have received against the guide I had, as he REPEATEDLY referred to another solo female client as a b**ch and said he had "wanted to say 'f**k you' to her," which needless to say made me extremely uncomfortable. Then on the second-to-last day of the trek, he told me all I'd done the whole trip was complain, and then didn't speak to me for the rest of the trip unless absolutely necessary (flight details, getting in touch with Upendra, etc.). I also told him I had a tattoo on my upper ribcage and said I could show a picture of it from my Facebook (which I cropped so you can't see anything but the tattoo), and he said he'd "rather see the real thing." Honestly you're better off not hiring a guide or going with another company. I should have asked for a full refund, which I am sure I would not have gotten, despite the constant sexual harassment I had to put up with for the entire trek.
I visited Annapurna Circuit in 2016. The trek was very beautiful and I enjoyed the trekking very much. Nice price, helping staffs and great company. Thank you for a beautiful trekking.
An unforgetable trek I had the chance to experience ! I did it from sept 15th to sept 27th and it was a pretty good period to, as the rainy season was almost over (it was raining a little during the evening and night and we only experienced daily rain one day for one hour, during the whole trekking !). And the trekking track was not busy at all, as it was not high season yet ; less people in lodges too....if you're looking for quietness, it's probably one of the best period. This trek can be done on your own, if you are sporty and have already some mountain experience, a map and a partner. But taking a guide will provide you an unforgetable experience, as a local trekking guide will give you explanations about the mountains, flora and fauna and can translate your questions or anything you would like to ask to local people...it really makes a huge difference ! And my guide was really a very special one ; he's officially licensed by the Nepal government, has 10 years experience guiding, is fluent in english and is really caring about his clients, wondering all the time about your feelings, needs, expectations, etc...
We did a trek to Annapurna Circuit and a short tour around Kathmandu valley and everything went perfect. It was a very professionally and efficiently prepared adventure for us. We had a very personally touched services and the guide and porter were all great. The trekking itself was a great experience for us. Great views and dramatic scenery. The route is so perfect for two weeks trekking where you have many sidewalks to do. Loved the Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal!
I knew it was not the right time to visit Nepal in monsoon but I had no choice so I made a decision to go to Nepal. We were walking under the rain for several days and the views were not that impressive (which I was already expecting) however the villages, people, the route was amazing. People in Nepal looked so happy with very limited resources. I had a female guide organized by the company at the same time a male porter from Upendra's village. All went great. The only day I had beautiful views was in Manang. I was happy to see what I was offered by the god. Thank you Upendra for handling all my stupid questions!
