Great trip - highly recommended
I did the ABC Trek in December 2019. Was an amazing experience and the trek was stunningly beautiful. My guide Deepen had a great knowledge of the mountains and was very attentive to my needs. He had a good understanding of what different clients are capable of after watching them on day 1 and then made sure the trek was suitably challenging but not out of their comfort zone. I always felt that safety was a priority and when extreme bad weather came in when only a few hours from our ABC destination, I was comfortable with the decision not to risk it. No one went up the mountain that day. The trek was fun, heaps to see, lots of people to meet along the way and Deepen always discussed the plan for the following day the night before, so I felt engaged and knew what to expect. Overall a great trip, would highly recommend but make sure you take some very warm clothes if travelling in winter. I'm thinking myself of planning another trek.
Great
I did a 12 days annapurna base camp trek with Tendi as my guide. It was an amazing trek with incredible views. Tendi was a great guide (and porter), super caring and always making sure I was having the best experience. I will definitely come back! thank you
ABC spectacular!
ABC far exceeded my expectations! Stunning views! Its physically challenging though, so come prepared. Do stairs-there are sections that feel endless.
Beautiful trek with an excellent guide and trekking company
The Annapurna base camp trek is a beautiful 10 day hike (plus two travel days) through a mix of scenery including dense forest, tiny villages and high mountains. Views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges from Poon Hill are spectacular, and seeing the mountains up close on the way to and at Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) was amazing. The teahouses are comfortable, though they become more basic as you get further from the roads and closer to ABC. Food is available throughout the hike and generally good with a mix of Nepali, Chinese and Western dishes available at most teahouses. A mild warning, I would only recommend this hike to people with a good fitness level as a typical day can be around 6 hours of hiking (excluding lunch and rest stops) and involves a lot of stairs. Total ascent and descent are much larger than the net elevation change indicated by the start and finish elevations each day, as you frequently descend completely to the base of a valley only to climb the other side. Do not attempt with a knee injury or after recent knee surgery etc. Practice stair climbing before you go!
Amazing first time in Nepal
A fantastic introduction to Nepal, and a real workout (even if you get a porter). The 18 hours I spent in ABC were some of the most beautiful I've had in my life.
Great time with my son - Awesome guide service!!
My son and I went to Nepal for the Everest Base Camp trek.. Unfortunately, the weather kept us out of Lukla. Chhatra, the owner of our local travel agency, very professionally made changes, arranged flights, and organized the boots on the ground for us to do the Annapurna Base Camp trek. Our guide, Bijay was awesome and I would highly recommend he and Mandev, our porter. They made us feel welcome, took care of us, and became friends. Each evening we played cards and shared stories. Chhatra communicated regularly via email prior to the trip and was patient with all of my questions!!

Life time experience
One of a life time experience hiking in Himalayan region. Ever since young I have been dreaming of hiking this sanctum and here I am , striking out one of my bucket list. Thou, the trip seems abit back to nature (no wifi, no media), but that indeed taught me an important lesson on how to appreciate relationships with peers and the love one and to enjoy the whole journey together. ABC is definitely a great start to explore the holy himalaya.
Ramesh is best guide ever
After my trip to gokyo was cancelled due to weather, I was initially disappointed. However, chhatra is an honest guy and planned me a trip to annapurna base camp instead. It was an experience to remember and I would travel with this company again.
beautiful Trek
Such a beautiful trek. Originally I booked EBc term but suer to the weather and cancelled ucla flights I had change for Abc. No regrets! the scenery on this trek is amazing, changing from villages, lush green mountains, waterfalls rivers to rice terraces, cray beautiful Himalayas in the backdrop and amazing wildflower meadows. Truly one in a lifetime experience. Lodges were great, food delicious. Com prepared and in good shape because term isn't very hard but requires a lot of stone steps.

Great diverse trek
Beautiful rainforest, amazing mountain views and relatively easy walking. Busy trek though with some paths too crowded by large groups of trekkers coming from the opposite direction. Easy to book, guide a bit young but overall a great experience.
Great First Trek
This was the first trek I had ever done and was perfect for that purpose. Nikhil was a fantastic guide, and catered very well to the needs of my buddy and me; he understood when we were in the mood for conversation, when we were interested in our surroundings, and adapted our schedule to include more trekking on days when we felt particularly energetic. The meals included were substantial (this coming from the point of view of an 85kg weightlifter!), and there was lots of variety available. It's a shame that soft drinks weren't included in the price, but that is clearly stated so can't fault them for that. I personally had no problems with the altitude, since the peak is just 4,130m, but Nik was on hand with equipment to measure oxygen levels and plenty of first aid should the worst happen, and checked our oxygen several times once we climbed above 3,000m. All in all I couldn't recommend this trek enough.
Amazing and Memorable Trek
The 10-day trek was difficult but enjoyable. The scenery is just amazing with the jagged mountains, raging rivers, hillside trails, bamboo forrest and hanging bridges. The tea houses are an attraction in itself. Our experienced guide, Ram is very attentive to our needs and ensures safety throughout the trek. The porters are very helpful, accommodating and fun to hang-out with.

Annapurna Base Camp trek review
Annapurna Base Camp trek was a truly amazing experience! From organizational side of the trip all services provided by the local tour company met my expectations - communication with the office in terms of customizing the trip was on the top level, Chatra was very helpul in claryfing all the details regarding the trip, flight tickets etc. Our guiding crew - Arun Karki and Yadab Siri- were very helpful and professional, throughout the entire trek they were sharing with us so many interesting facts and details about the landscapes, Nepali culture etc. The support and amazing atmosphere we've received from them during the trek were unforgettable and made our adventure a truly wonderful experience! Highly, highly recommended! Annapurna Base Camp trek itself was also an amazing experience, challenging but doable even without previous experience in trekking. Totally worth it!
Excellent ABC Trek
Trekked ABC in April 2017. Had an excellent trip with seven other trekkers (three couples and another single woman), two excellent guides: Anurag Basnet and Sandeep Budhathoki, and four great porters, especially Raj and Solu Kariki. Met with Chhatri Karki (owner of our local tour agency) the day after I arrived in KTM and departed on ABC trek the following morning. 12 day trek out of Pokhara. Guides were very professional and cared very deeply for the welfare of their clients. The porters were awesome and I was allowed to walk at a quicker pace along with two of the faster porters. They really took great care of me, making sure I rested and stayed hydrated. The scenery was spectacular and I only encountered snow as we approached base camp the day prior to reaching basecamp. The tour operator provided me with a down sleeping bag, down jacket and trekking poles. I was able to use lightweight sneakers which dried easily overnight when wet. The guest houses were lovely and the food was more than adequate. I would highly recommend Chhatri and his company!
Solid Trekking Company
I had an overall great experience on the Annapurna Base Camp trek. Chhatra was very helpful and answered all of my pre-departure questions. My guide was extremely knowledgeable and I felt like I was in good hands throughout the trek. He took care of everything so that I could just enjoy the trek without worrying about any of the logistics or planning. I also found it very convenient to be able to rent a sleeping bag and down jacket. My only criticism is that there seemed to be some lack of communication between the local tour operator and the guides. For example, Chhatra told me that I probably wouldn't need hiking poles, but my guide was surprised that I didn't have them and recommended them for our trek. Chhatra also told me that it wouldn't be very cold, but my guide said that I would need gloves. One other minor thing is that it seemed unnecessary for my guide to ride the bus with me to and from Pokhara. It felt like I had a bus babysitter and it seems tedious for the guide to have to ride with the clients. But overall, it was an excellent trek and good value for the money.
