day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel (1310M)

Welcome to the city of temples and the country of Himalayas. Himalayan Leisure Inc. will happily welcome you at the only international airport of Nepal; Tribhuvan International Airport.

Our airport representative will be waiting for your arrival outside the airport terminal. From there you will be transferred to the hotel by a private vehicle.

day 2 - Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubenshi (1,450M)

Our first day starts with a long and tiring drive to Syabrubensi. The road takes us via North-Western region of Kathmandu valley following beautiful scenery and villages along the route.

We will stop in Trisuli or Kalikasthan for a quick lunch and proceed further towards Syabrubensi for overnight stay. The road specially after Kalikasthan looks thrilling as landslides are continuously found during monsoon season.

The trail passes through beautiful forests of high Hilly regions with some occasional sights of blossoming rhododendron flowers and beautiful crystal waterfalls falling from the top of the hills.

We will also have some sights of villages situated in the cliffs of rocky mountains along the drive. This is the first impression of Langtang Valley Trekking. Soon we will reach Dhunche and the road starts gradually descending towards Syabrubensi; a small town with few lodges made for travelers visiting this region. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

day 3 - Trek to Sherpa Gaon (Village) (2,560M)

This is a relatively short and easy day. Our trekking starts after crossing Bhote Koshi river. From here we will start Wankal village, a small village inhabited by Tamang people.

From here the trail ascends steeply towards Khanjung village, which offers some good camping sites. This is another village inhabited by Tamang community. We will reach Khanjung by lunch time.

We will proceed further ascending towards Syarpa Gaon village. The trail is mostly uphill until we reach Syarpa Gaon where we will spend first overnight in a typical trekking lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

day 4 - Trek to Langtang Village (3,540M)

We will enjoy some freshly prepared breakfast in Syarpa Gaon before we commence walking to Langtang village. We will have numerous ups and downs today. We will first reach a small place with couple of houses called Rimche.

From here the trail continues flat until we reach Lama Hotel. Lama Hotel is one of the major overnight stop for many trekkers. Lama Hotel is another small town mostly for arranging meals and accommodation for trekkers. Proceeding further, we will enter inside dense green forests giving us fresh breath.

The thundering Langtang river in one hand and enchanting Himalayan birds in another hand, Langtang Valley Trekking is simply awesome. We will reach Gumma Chok AKA Riverside before we reach Ghora Tabela (2,950M) for lunch.

Ghora Tabela has very few lodges specially opened for serving hot lunch for trekkers. This place is spacious and offers first close views of Himalayas.

Soon after starting from Ghora Tabela we will let our permits checked by Army officials then continuing the trek further takes us to Thangsyap and Chamki village before we reach Langtang Village.

Langtang village is probably the biggest village of the region on the shade of Langtang Lirung Peak. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Note: This village was badly hit by the earthquake in 2015.

day 5 - Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,900M), valley exploration

In Langtang we will have another great meal before we start our trek towards Kyanjin village. The trail is mostly flat alike gentle ascending surrounded by several Himalayan peaks in 360 degree panorama.

We will be passing by typical villages like Mondoo and Singdum along the way. At the mean time we will be walking along with numerous Yaks grazing is the grassland. There are many religious stone mani walls with Buddhist prayers written on them. We are supposed to walk clockwise while passing along the religious spots. We will be crossing small and big bridges everywhere.

Finally, we will reach an authentic and stunning village surrounded by Himalayan peaks everywhere. This place is really - really beautiful that any trekker gets peace of mind after reaching this beautiful village. If we are not tired then we can hike up to the glacier else we can stroll around the village. There is a cheese factory that serves some fresh cheese. Kyanjin Gompa also has a monastery that is believed to be hundreds of years old. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

day 6 - Hike to Tserko Ri (4,985M) and return to Kyanjin Gompa

This is one of the major days throughout our Langtang Valley Trekking. We will collect packed meal to eat on the top of Tserko RI. The trail to Tserko RI is confusing, difficult and long as well, however reaching the top makes all tiredness disappear.

Tserko RI offers close Himalayan views of uncountable Himalayan peaks in 360 degree panorama. It simply feels the best to be in top of such place. We will then return back to Kyanjin Gompa.

We will spend rest of the day in this town enjoying being in touch with wonders of nature. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

day 7 - Trek back to Lama Hotel (2,480M)

We will have our meal in the lodge before starting descending down to Lama Hotel. The trail is same that we used while ascending up. We have no rush as the trail is mostly downhill and short. We will pass the trail enjoying the beautiful views surrounded and at the same time pushing them far and far as we continue.

Lama Hotel is situated alongside of Langtang River, we will have to spend whole night hearing the sound of thundering river. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

day 8 - Trek to Syabrubensi (1,450M), last night in mountains

We will be served with our final meal in a village. Soon after having breakfast, we will start walking to conclude our trek in Syabrubensi.

This is another easy day which mostly goes through the middle of the forest with occasional sights of monkeys. The trail is mostly downhill following the Langtang Khola. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

day 9 - Drive back to Kathmandu valley (1310M)

We will take a morning bus heading to Kathmandu. The road is same as there are no alternatives. We will have our lunch probably in Kalikasthan or Trisuli Bazaar and then continue our ride till we reach Kathmandu.

We will transfer to hotel and prepare for our departure on the following day. (Breakfast, Lunch, Complimentary Farewell Dinner)

day 10 - Departure from Kathmandu

Here we come to the end of our memorable a week long trip. We will conclude our Langtang Valley Trekking in Kathmandu and proceed to airport for outbound flight back from Nepal.

If we have time before our flight back we will explore local markets of Kathmandu on our own if not we will proceed to airport straightaway. We are sure that it's not your last time in Nepal. See you again! (Breakfast)
