Visiting Tanzania in April and choosing Habari Adventure was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment I landed to the final goodbye, everything was smooth, professional, and deeply heartfelt. I took on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and though the mountain tested every part of me, the Habari team was great at every step. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and caring, always checking in and keeping the team spirit alive with their encouragement. The porters were heroes-cheerful, strong, and full of heart. And the meals! Every bite gave me energy and comfort, especially when the altitude and cold got tough. Summit night was the hardest and most emotional part of the journey, but also the most magical. Reaching Uhuru Peak at sunrise, with the sky painted in gold, was a moment of pure triumph. I couldn't have done it without the love and support of the Habari crew. Beyond the mountain, I also went on a short safari-and again, Habari delivered a soul-stirring experience. From spotting elephants and lions to peaceful sunsets over the savannah, I felt connected to nature in a way I never imagined possible. The guide was passionate and deeply knowledgeable, and the camping setup made me feel both adventurous and safe. Thank you, Habari Adventure, for making April one of the most meaningful months of my life. I came for a challenge and left with strength, gratitude, and a heart full of memories.
This was a trip of a lifetime and we are so happy G is a member of KPAP, we saw some porters with other companies not appropriately dressed for the mountain and it reinforced our decision to use G. The Moshi mamas and clean cook stove project were great initiatives and I was glad to see that G supports these organizations.
My experience of G was truly amazing. Prob the best trip I?ve ever had. My opinion of G Adventures staff is off the scale. They worked so hard for us. They sang, danced, smiled and joked and were there for me when I needed help on the final ascent/descent day. 100% I will book with G adventures again next trip I do.
The team worked very hard and efficiently to get us to the top of Kilimanjaro. The leaders were professional and helpful. Could not have done it without the amazing support of our team.
My friend and I just finished a 7-day Lemosho route trek with this local travel specialist that ended in the successful summit of Kilimanjaro. I cannot praise the team enough and highly recommend them for any Kilimanjaro trek. From our pre-trek communications to our airport transfers and throughout our time on the trek, we were treated and cared for exceptionally well. This local travel specialist seemed to us to be a smaller tour operator. While this meant they didn’t have a fancy bus to drive us around, it also meant we didn’t get a “big tour” experience and received more attention and heart than what we expected, truly living out their mantra “One Team, One Dream.” It starts with our guides, Goodluck and Nickson. As the primary leaders of the expedition and the ones most directly responsible for our wellbeing, they were both exceptionally professional throughout. They were both concerned about our experience, maintaining an open dialog about daily expectations and about any questions that came up. On the health front, they measured our blood oxygen levels and pulse nightly, and we openly discussed our feelings and concerns to ensure we were all on the same page. Importantly, I felt they did a great job picking the right hiking paths and maintaining the right hiking pace for us. We felt this was critical to successful acclimatization, minimizing exhaustion, and ultimately to our successful summit. Lastly, they really encouraged us to enjoy the journey and not just the destination. They were very knowledgeable about the geology, ecology, and history of Kilimanjaro and they freely shared their knowledge. Having the right guides is essential and I feel like we got the best in Goodluck and Nickson. But our positive experience didn’t end with our guides. Incredibly we had 9 additional people (11 in total) supporting my friend and me on our adventure. And they were all wonderfully caring, too (“One Team, One Dream”). Our chef made wonderful, filling meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we had a waiter/water attendant, we had a person who attended our private toilet, and six additional porters who were incredibly hard working setting up, breaking down, and transporting our camp from site to site. To a man, they were exceptionally supportive, friendly, and fun-loving, and it was truly heartwarming to be surrounded by a wonderful group of people who all wanted to see us succeed. A great example: After we summited, my friend and I were struggling to come down the mountain due to exhaustion. Our guides messaged the base team, and six additional members met us 1/3 or 1/2 way up the mountain, carried our packs, and arm-in-arm helped us get back to base camp where they all congratulated us with hugs and high-fives. The Kilimanjaro trip was the fulfillment of a decades long dream, and the exceptional experience with this agency made it wonderful. I highly recommend them.
What an adventure. Hiking Kilimanjaro with this local travel specialist was an incredible experience. All details were taken care of and the crew was spectacular Stan and Tony were our guides and provided interesting commentary on everything from horticulture to geography and topography while taking care to hike at an even slow pace for altitude adaptation. Their company was enjoyed immensely. The cook Thomas presented unbelievable meals 3 times a day plus snacks, hot water and variety of fruits - both nutritious and delicious. We had fresh fruit and hot meals daily and there was even more fresh produce brought up the mountain for our final days! The soups were to die for and the curries even more so. The porters on our trip were also phenomenal - a strenuous job done with a smile and genuine support and encouragement. If you are hiking Kilimanjaro do it with this agency and you won't be disappointed - trip of a lifetime!
