My name is Ruby Zhao and I am a professional travel expert in China. I have travelled extensively, leaving my footprints on several destinations in and around China, including the ancient cities of Beijing, Xi’an and Pingyao, and in the charming natural scenery of Guilin, Jiuzhaigou, Huangshan and Zhangjiajie. I have also experienced the colourful minority culture of Yunnan and Guizhou, the modern metropolitan Shanghai and the mysterious sacred lands of Tibet and Xinjiang, to name just a few!

I have been working at China's leading online tour company for more than 12 years. My job is to organize memorable China and Asia tours for clients from the first contact until the trip is finished. I love my job! One of my favourite parts is the sense of achievement I feel when I hear that the clients are satisfied with their travel experience.

Ruby's best travel experience

My most impressive and memorable trip was a cruise on the Yangtze River, which I took together with my clients. Being a travel expert, it is important that I communicate with clients, but often it is just by email or telephone. It is rare that I get to meet clients in person, let alone talk with them like friends, especially if they do not come to Xi'an (where I am based). I spent an amazing time with this particular group from Hungary during the 4-day and 3-night cruise tour. I still have this memory clearly in my mind!
