It really lets you see and experience the countryside ! Takes you places , you might not have known were there . No just a tour of cities and churches - but outside the box things to see!

The itinerary was well chosen and planned. We had lots of time to tour every destination, along with ample free time. The communities we visited were beautiful and had so much to offer as a tourist.

It is very busy and a lot of sitting time on a bus (road travel). Bring plenty of $1 Euro or $2 Euros for use of public bathrooms during rest stops. … that service is NOT free. City highlights were great sights and provided great photo ops. Make the MOST of your free time in a city to take in the culture!! You must try the “pig knuckle”.

Good optional visits. Thought St. Moritz was not required as a 1 night stay because we only stayed a little while (although the lake pictures were outstanding). was a fantastic guide; very high marks.

, the Tour Director was fantastic, informative and considerate. The tour was well organized, reasonably paced and the sites visited would need a lot of research to see independently. Hotels were good, bus travel comfortable. Well worth travelling with Trafalgar for Best of Germany tour

Busy itinerary but covered so much! A crash course in history for sure. Would be nice to be able to spend a little bit more time in Munich and not in a Sunday where everything is closed. That is the one place that could improve. Also the hotel in the black forest was nice, but because of it being a Monday the Biergarten was closed so there was not place to spend time with our fellow travelers

Travel Tips for Germany Adventure Tour

  • Make use of Germany’s excellent public transport, from buses to trains and trams.
  • Plan your travel accordingly. Most shops, restaurants and businesses in Germany are closed on Sundays.
  • Pack sensibly for your Germany adventure tour. In summer, Germany can be very warm, but the southern mountains can still see snow. In winter, thick blankets of snow are common so bring hiking shoes and thermals.
  • Decide carefully when to plan your Germany trip. While winter offers magical Christmas markets and snow sports, summer provides the best hiking and sightseeing conditions.
