Ireland Adventure Tour Reviews
Honest insights from past guests on our Adventure Ireland tours
Each day, you had the option of a couple of hours of down time on your own in the afternoon to rest or do whatever you chose to do. That was very nice for those of us who needed to recharge our batteries. Also, we had an excellent tour guide and an excellent bus driver who went out of their way to help those who were a bit slower in getting on and off the bus and who walked a little slower than everyone else. Trafalgar also did an excellent job in getting rooms with walk-in showers for me and my traveling companion since it is difficult for us to step over the edge of a bathtub. At no time did I feel that I missed out on anything because of my slower walking.
I feel the itinerary fit our needs as we were able to see all parts of Ireland without the feeling of missing out. Our tour guide and coach driver were fabulous and helped make our trip more enjoyable. I would highly recommend the Amazing Ireland trip to all and if you are fortunate enough to have and as your guide and driver, you will love every moment! Thanks for a fantastic time!
Right from the beginning, it was spectacular. Our tour guide, Zach, was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and entertaining. Our bus driver, Robert, was also amazing. He got us through some pretty tight situations and we always arrived at our destinations on time. Both were polite, professional, and helpful and made our trip so enjoyable. The meals, activities, and socializing with other people on the trip made it a vacation we will never forget.
Our guide, *personal info removed by Feefo* was amazing!! Had wonderful people on the tour and enjoyed every minute. Also, *personal info removed by Feefo* , our driver was the best in the world. What concentration and expertise driving!!!
*personal info removed by Feefo* was an excellent tour director, We all fell in love with Ireland and Scotland, the people, history, and tours. It was great to reinforce the connection that many of us have through our ancestors.
Our guide, Ann and driver, Sean were excellent in telling us about the sights, history, geography of places, and anecdotes and wisdom and experience they had as well. One day was too long- re the Ring of Kerry and exhausted when we reached the end of the day. Remove the seaweed experience- was not interesting for me and could have used that time as free time for us. Remove the Gresham Hotel in Dublin- it was cheap furniture, concrete/plastic floor like a jail cell, no personality and chaos when we got there. Different floors was chaos. Can't find our room. Only the lobby was lovely but that's it. Big disappointment. No history of what it used to be in the 50's. The young staff have no clue about history and excellence in decor or customer service. I'd never use that hotel. Need charm, smaller hotel like the Connemara Coast Hotel and the Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa. Personal and attentive to us always. The Ashford Castle was beyond my expectations in every regard. Could have spent another half day there instead of leaving the next morning for Dublin. The bedroom, dining and interior was fit for a king or royalty. We were treated with dignity and respect. Always. I would love to go back someday. And for sure Ireland. They are way ahead of Canada in terms of saving energy and using separate panels to shut off and turn on areas of light, blinds and heating a marble floor. Wow. The ultimate in luxury. The turn down service at night was very beautiful with chocolates, slippers and room cleaned up from when we arrived. The towel rack and soaps and luxury in towels, etc was over the top. An orchid in my room. I loved the colour scheme in my room - blue and beige and silk on the walls. Ashford has kept its history and luxury and is one of the best in the world. The bagpipes and person in a kilt and costume over the draw bridge was a memory to last forever. There is nothing that was overlooked. Thank you for this amazing trip definitely echoes of elegance. The Cliffs of Moher was also the best as I first saw them in the Movie- "Irish Wish" last year. That was my inspiration to go see them. The Kylemore Abbey and grounds were unforgettable and beautiful. It poured for a little while but the gardens I enjoyed and the tea house to grab something to eat. People who arrive late and hold up a bus should know better. IT is selfish and not acceptable. Think about others. Respect. I have worked in the hospitality industry many decades ago and know what is excellence and what is not. This tour was exceptional in every regard except the areas I mentioned could be changed for sure in the future.
