Ireland Adventure Tour Reviews
Honest insights from past guests on our Adventure Ireland tours
Fast-paced, included Northern Ireland which was still cold in June, great tour guide, no air-conditioning in Waterford hotel (if you’re traveling in late June or July), and you need a jacket due to the winds. Need to be in Waterford on Thursday (instead of Tuesday), because shops are open until 8pm or 9 pm on Thursdays in Waterford. Room was very hot in Waterford, even with a fan and a partially open window. Take lotion and hair conditioner with you, because Trafalgar hotels in Ireland do not provide any. In some hotels, you also need your own Kleenex and shower caps.
It was wonderful to see the countries and learn all of the history. We enjoyed the different stops to see things such as Blarney Castle and the Giants Causeway. I really enjoyed the guided tour through Dery. I learned so much about the history and appreciated the fact that they were not trying to hide their past.
The bus, driver, tour director, accommodations, and meals were absolutely excellent. We enjoyed the history presented by Simon, and his knowledge was outstanding. The choice of visit sites was very good. We’re glad that we don’t have to drive on those narrow roads!!!🥴
Great balance between activities and free time. I chose to do all the optional activities, and I'm glad I did. Those optional activities that I thought would be my least favorite turned out to be my favorites!
Liked that the stay in the hotels was for 2 nights. The travel ****** was fabulous - personable, caring, interesting stories/history, very organized. The bus driver was fun and made the bus days fun. Enjoyed seeing all the sites, especially the sheep farm. City tours were interesting and liked the optional to Glendalough. The price was definitely worth the trip.
Wonderful introduction to Ireland, our tour guide had amazing knowledge about Ireland and its history. And very interesting insights into what it was like to grow up in Northern Ireland during the sixties and seventies, then raising a family in the 80’s and 90’s. The Giants Causeway is a must see, and seeing and autographing the peace wall in Belfast was very special.
