One of the most interesting tours I have ever done

My husband and I have now done several tours with Exodus and there are many reasons why we keep returning to Exodus, not the least of which include: the staff are helpful and available from beginning to end; the group size is small which makes the logistics more manageable; they put together itineraries in various locations that maximize the most interesting places to see and things to do; their trip notes accurately reflect what to expect and how to prepare for your trip; their guides have incredible knowledge about the various areas;  and they listen and respond to reviews. Although some days seemed longer than others, "Belize Reef and Ruins" is one of the most interesting tours I have ever done, and the only tour I have ever done twice (in one year).  There was no shortage of opportunity to further my learning about the history of the Mayan civilization, the flora and fauna of Belize, and the present-day life of the Belizean people.  Wherever we went, we were greeted with "Belizean warmth and kindness".  As I shared with a few of my friends, in spite of the heat, the unrelenting humidity, and the mosquitoes, I wish there were two of me - one to stay in Belize and one to return home.

First, I have to say that our tour guide John Phem was amazing. He always went above and beyond during the entire trip. We had several road trips and flights and all went smoothly. We were well fed and hydrated the entire time and were greeted daily with hand towels and bottles of water. I cannot say enough good things about John. Also, the local tour guides in Cambodia, Laos and Thailand were very good. Chen in Cambodia and Pat in Laos were very informative and thoughtful, and A in Thailand also went above and beyond. She helped us shop carefully in the local markets. My only critique is that we were a little over-programmed. I would have liked a little more free time at the hotels. We stayed in beautiful places but felt we could not enjoy the amenities because we were always on the go. I do like that Collette builds in impactful excursions and visits to local homes, however. They provide for an enriching experience. If there were a way to provide those and allow for a little more free time that would be perfect. Thank you for a special trip. I highly recommend it and Collette to family and friends.

Hard to pick a single favorite experience because there were so many great experiences. The food, the palaces and cathedrals were fantastic. So much history! Touring the wineries was a lot of fun as I had no experience with the wines we tried . It was fun to learn about Port and Rioja wines. The Douro Valley ( wine region ) was gorgeous. Staying at the winery hotel was an experience, the views of the terraced hills was amazing!

A wonderful trip!

This trip is 2 weeks full of interesting history, places, culture and food. The perfect way to experience Mexico and all that it has to offer; from the city, to the jungle, to the beach, to the colonial towns and everything in between!

This was my fourth Collette Tour and was definitely a favorite. The wildlife and vegetation defy imagination and the tour allowed us closeup access to both. Our bus driver, Drew, expertly drove us for the many miles and did so with such a friendly manner. He also provided for our well-being by giving us each a bottle of water daily. Osvaldo Padilla was our tour manager. His knowledge of and love for Costa Rica shone as he constantly delivered educational information. He showed great enthusiasm when spotting and showing special wildlife to us. A favorite memory was when Ozzy, on his own time, took us on a nature walk around the grounds of the resort near Lake Arenal. I was so thankful that he was able to show us a sloth with a baby, toucans, a poison dart tree frog and other wildlife. The extra attention that he gave to us was very much appreciated. The two other spectacular memories are of being on the Cano ***** riverboat with howler monkeys calling across the river and of walking over the hanging bridges where a resplendent quetzal was perched at eye level, just off of the bridge. The vegetation in that cloud forest was amazing! I would like to again thank Ozzy and Drew for taking such great care of us and providing wonderfully memorable experiences.

It was absolutely wonderful to be on this tour thru Spain and Portugal. I like Sevilla with its old town and cathedral, but I was mesmerized by Cordoba an old Mosque - Cathedral and 2000 years old Roman bridge we walked thru. I also loved Toledo that I visited 20 years ago, but it looked to me much better. Barcelona stole my heart - Sagrada Familia is build up and gorgeous. Spanish People are wonderful to be with - warm, funny and happy, the food is delicious - paella and the restaurants are great. Forgot about Valencia - old town and modern Art and Science Center built by Santiago Calatrava (Oculus in New York City is his as well) Portugal is a bit different and people more reserved. I was happy to be there and see Columbus' and Vasco De Gama's graves. Great tour, recommend to all.
