Super holiday! The walks through the beautiful Tuscany countryside with Cypresses, Olive trees and vines will live with me for ever. Itinerary was perfect with challenging walks and time to relax afterwards. The accommodation was excellent, breakfasts substantial and wine tastings informative and very enjoyable. Definitely 5*!

Mt. Rushmore and return trip for evening flag lowering was emotional"veteran ". Devils tower were the high lights of the trip. The badlands tour was awesome for natures mysteries. Disappointed about the Kevin Costners event, guide talked mostly about" his " work. Have been to Canada's Head smashing exhibit and ties in with it. The local guide for the wild Bill and Calamity Jane was AWFUL. The Jeep safari ride and driver was awsome. Love seeing bison and prong horn sheep in their natural habitat . The Crazy horse memorial was interesting. The geographic center of the U.S. was unexpected., didn't know that display existed. The hotel was good and pleasantly surprised that we had REAL eggs in the morning. The one diner morning was a pleasant change. Jessie the bus driver was great Amber was misinformed in one town that the places she pointed out to eat were closed on Tuesday, other than that she did a good job keeping us on schedule . Tough to keep a bus load of mostly seniors on schedule. All and all good trip. Love the idea of having a daily schedule of place and time to refer to. Makes down time scheduling much easier. Maybe more time at the primary sites and less time at the secondary sites.

All tours were good. However, we stayed way too long in Badlands. Made three stops for pictures not much change in the scenery. Did not have enough time in deadwood.

We chose explore for the itinerary having considered many other companies and we were not disappointed. Placido, our tour leader was great fun and looked after us very well. The use of local guides in most places provided in depth knowledge.

Bhutan - land of fairy tales

It's hard to believe that this time last week I was climbing an epic Himalayan cliffside staircase on the Bhutan pilgrimage to Tiger's Next Monastery! This amazing trip also visited the annual Thimphu festival where we watched the colourful dancing monks, it flew me over Everest and the 5 highest peaks in the world (sightings are weather dependent), and took me inside one of Asia's largest golden Buddha statues to view 125 000 mini golden Buddhas.
