It was a great trip, amazing scenery, mostly good food, and a nice group of people. Some of the hotels were below what I expected but that was explained to us by our tour guide. (For Edinburgh, try Ten Hill Place, it's in walking distance to the city and nicer than where we stayed.) My favorite stop included as part of the package was Stirling Castle simply beautiful and an area where I would have spent more time. My favorite thing that I did on my own was in Edinburgh, Holyroodhouse Palace. The extra excursions are well worth the cost, and I enjoy having the choice to participate or not.

We had a wonderful trip. Our tour guide was outstanding as well as our bus driver. We felt that the group is a bit large for us at 41 people would like tours 20 people or less. The amount of knowledge and history that we learned on the trip was wonderful. The experiences that were part of the itinerary were excellent. There were a couple of excursions that were eliminated that we were looking forward to which was a bit disappointing. Also our tour was sold to us that the accommodations would be about 4 to 4 1/2 star, but a handful of ours were certainly no more than 2 1/2. We completely understand that in remote areas, there’s not a lot of choice, but our agent sold it to us that they were better accommodations than what we experienced. Most of the food was excellent. Some of the breakfasts were not the best. Our motor coach was quite comfortable, but not a lot of legroom, but we were fairly comfortable. We love Scotland. We enjoyed everything that we saw, and I would recommend Brendan tours.
