An expertly woven narrative that offers both historical insight and emotional resonance, making it much more than a standard sightseeing trip.
It would be great if the start and end accomodation was a little closer to their respective capital cities. Everything else was awesome.
We loved the tour. It was great to see the different locations of the battles and from different country perspectives. Our guide was fantastic and very helpful and we would love to do more tours of Europe especially if was our guide. Only comment would be if possible that accommodation be closer to the towns so that when there is free time it is easily accessible by foot. In saying that though the quality of the accommodation was wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful holiday
The whole tour was too rushed, every Cemetery & Memorial we were rushed. Hotel room bathrooms with mould, no bedding for adult sons bed in some places. TD was reading from a book when explaining each of our stops, it appeared unprofessional and lacked knowledge. Trafalgar booked our airline tickets, without coinciding with transfers. We are a little disappointed with this tour. Met great people and we did enjoy it.
The group leader was very personable and knowledgeable. And our coach driver was amazing navigating through many narrow roads to get us where we needed to go.
A good pace and well sequenced itinerary. Very moving even for someone like myself who has no direct connection of either war. Would highly recommend the tour
Excellent and very enjoyable trip, educational, very moving at times, well worth doing
Everything was fantastic. Well planned. The planned food stops other than breakfasts were not always good quality. The rest of the tour made up for that. The location of the hotel in Paris was very far from the sites so when I stayed an extra day it was hard to navigate. Very knowledgable guide. He knew when to start and stop talking. He also had great service skills remembering details about the guests that made it easier for their experience. Our drivers were excellent. The guide in London was knowledgable as well but could not help himself from bashing Trump. Not professional.
The tour was fantastic. It went to all of the Canadian sites (except Dieppe). We were at several Aussie sites, and a few American sites as well Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our driver was amazing. How she managed to navigate down some of the narrow streets, I’ll never know. I would recommend this tour for people interested in WWI and II. This was the only tour that I could find that covered both wars and in the summer months. My only two suggestions would be buy any souvenirs for Beaumont-Hamel at Vimy (I’d wish I’d known). Secondly, when visiting Notre-Dame, you must be covered (no bare shoulders or short shorts). People did not find out until they were in line and had not been warned.
We planned this trip for 2 years to save plus added additional days at the beginning and the end to see more of London and Paris . Our son graduated from high school this summer and this was his dream to see Vimy Ridge and to follow his great great grandfather’s footsteps as two served in World War 1 and his great grandfather in World War Two. Plus to go as a family time together. our host was amazing and the bus driver was outstanding and accommodating. The group of 39 were friendly and we all had lots of fun we all got along great.
Despite the unexpected heat of the trip in mid June, my father and I had a wonderful time touring the old battlefields and museums of so much history.
Fabulous, busy and extensive. Only constructive comment is visiting cathdreals and gardens on bastille day in paris cld have been better rethought given we a battlefields tour.
The Eleven day tour of WW1 and WW2 sights was incredible Every day was packed with sights. The tour guide was very informative and made sure everyone was included. He also kept us informed if there was anything might be a problem If it was possible he would also add something extra
