Picture yourself gliding along Italy’s iconic coastline, savoring the romance and charm of Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento, and Capri—all in just five days. The "Southern Pearls (on Request)" tour invites seniors to enjoy a relaxed, self-guided art and architecture trip that begins and ends in Rome. With handpicked accommodations and transport taken care of, the focus remains on leisurely exploration.

The first half of the journey immerses travelers in history and grandeur, from the ruins of Pompeii to the bustling energy of Naples. In Sorrento and Capri, take your time to soak up mesmerizing coastal vistas. The latter part of the tour lets you unwind in Positano, offering the freedom to lounge at your hotel, wander through picturesque streets, or swim in the Mediterranean’s inviting waters.

day 1 - Rome – Naples – Pompeii – Sorrento (280km – 3.5hrs)

Meet your assistant at Termini Station at about 8:00 a.m. (optional private transfer can be arranged from hotels in Rome, if centrally located) and take high speed train to Naples. Upon arrival at Naples train station you will be met by our expert local guide to proceed to Pompeii for the guided tour of the archaeological excavations. This ancient Roman city was destroyed when Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD and buried it, preserving it under a sea of volcanic ash for nearly 1700 years. At the end of the visit transfer to Sorrento, famous for its picturesque old town centre and characteristic fisherman’s village of Marina Grande, one of the most authentic treasures of the city. A local assistant will welcome you at the hotel during the check-in.

day 2 - Sorrento – Capri – Sorrento

Breakfast in the hotel and departure at 7:30 a.m. for the port of Sorrento. Meet the guide and sail to Capri by traditional Gozzo Sorrentino. After arriving at the island, enjoy a boat trip around the island and have the possibility to visit the Blue Grotto (optional entrance, weather permitting). Once on the island continue by minibus to discover it and reach the legendary Piazzetta, the heart of the island. Enjoy some free time to explore Capri at your own pace. Then return to the port to head back to Sorrento.
Overnight in Sorrento. 

day 3 - Sorrento – Positano (20km – 50min)

After breakfast at the hotel check out and transfer to Positano. Day free at leisure to discover the pearl of the Amalfi Coast.

day 4 - Positano

Wake up to breakfast at the hotel and then spend the day at leisure, enjoying the town of Positano at your own pace or spending the day on the beach.

day 5 - Positano – Naples – Rome (290km - 3.45hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel spend the morning at leisure in Positano. Then at around 15:00 pm transfer to Naples. Our local assistant in Naples train station will help you to board the high-speed train going to Rome.
