Nepal Cultural Highlights Roundtrip is a 10-day journey through the country’s vibrant mosaic of landscapes, traditions, and histories—an ideal trip for curious young adults and experienced travelers alike. Begin in Kathmandu Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage treasure trove, then venture south to Chitwan National Park for wildlife spotting, including rhinos and, with luck, Bengal tigers. Explore the spiritual heartland in Lumbini, birthplace of Buddha, before relaxing in Pokhara, where tranquil lakes mirror the snow-capped Himalayas. This guided tour offers a rare opportunity to experience Nepal’s full spectrum—from bustling cities to serene natural reserves and sacred sites. What sets it apart? day 1 - Kathmandu arrival
At the Kathmandu airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your confirmed hotel. You can relax in the hotel or take your time to stroll around the city.
day 2 - Guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu
Our English-speaking guide will pick you at your hotel and settle you on a private tour vehicle. Start the sightseeing tour starting Kathmandu Durbar Square, a Unesco World Heritage Site. The square is one of the three medieval city complexes. Here, you can get a glimpse of the capital during the rule of Malla kings.
Then head to Swoyambhunath, the monkey temple, atop a hill in northern Kathmandu. The site is a major Buddhist pilgrimage and boasts a panoramic view of Kathmandu with the Himalayan range in the background.
Next, you will visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples in South Asia. End the day's tour by visiting the Boudhanath Stupa, the largest stupa in the country. Located not gar away from Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath was built in 600 AD and is flocked by Buddhists from around the world.
day 3 - Sightseeing in Patan & Bhaktapur
Today, you will take the tour of Patan, one of the ancient cities inside Kathmandu Valley. Here, you will be visiting Patan Durbar Square, another Unesco World Heritage sites. Explore the many ancient temples and monuments, including Krishna Mandir and Patan Museum, and learn more about the history of Patan and the kings who reigned here. Next, visit the Golden Temple, a major attraction for both Hindu and Buddhist people.
After the tour of Patan, travel to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one the largest medieval city centers from the Malla period. The area is famous for its monuments and architectures as well as its well-preserved local traditions like pottery. Here, you will find many intricately carved wood houses and ancient temples including the Nyatapola, one of the largest temples in Nepal. You will also visit the Pottery Square nearby, where you can take a lesson in traditional pottery making.
day 4 - Kathmandu to Chitwan drive
Today you will travel to Chitwan, home to Nepal's first national park. Located about 148km south-west of Kathmandu, the Chitwan National Park is one of Nepal’s popular tourist destinations.
We will take a scenic drive, following the Trishuli river valley much of the way, with its steep forest-covered hills and farming villages. Along the way, you will get to see many highway towns and villages.
day 5 - Chitwan jungle safari
Start you day in Chitwan, with a canoe tour on the Rapti River inside the national park. You will get to spot Marsh Mugger and Gharial crocodiles, other park wildlife and different bird species in this tour.
Next, go for a guided jungle walk to spot more animals inside the park. After the walking tour, return to your hotel for lunch and rest for a while before embarking on a jeep safari deep inside Chitwan National Park to spot one-horned rhino and other wild animals like wild boar, deer, elephant and leopard. If you are lucky, you might even spot the elusive Bengal tiger.
After the tour, return to the hotel for the night.

day 6 - Chitwan to Lumbini
After breakfast, our tour guide will take you around the Rapti river bank for bird watching. Chitwan is one of the best places for bird watching in Nepal. Our tour guide will explain to you about the different species of birds and how they migrate to Chitwan in the winter season from a different part of the world.
After the tour, you will travel towards Lumbini, 150 km from Chitwan. Upon arrival check in to your hotel, rest for a while and visit the sacred garden, the Ashoka pillar, the Puskarini pond, the Maya Devi temple, Bodhi Temple, Maya Devi Pond, and the remaining of the meditation site and residential monastery for monks.
After that, you will visit some of the monasteries in the Monastery Zone that include monasteries built through various architectural styles.
Tonight you'll be staying in a guest house inside a monastery.
day 7 - Lumbini to Pokhara
After breakfast, you will take a scenic drive to Pokhara, following the Siddhartha Highway. Along the way, you will pass through many small hills and farming villages.
Pokhara is the second-largest city of Nepal after Kathmandu. It is home to numerous lakes and caves. The lakes in Pokhara include Fewa Lake, Begnas Lake, Rupa Lake, Gude Lake, Neurani Lake, and Maidi Lake. From here, you can also see many mountains including Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri and Annapurna.
Pokhara is also the gateway for trekking to the Annapurna region. The notable caves here are Bat Cave, Mahendra Cave, and Gupteshowr Cave, among others. There are two major notable hilltops in Pokhara that serve as a perfect hiking destinations, the World Peace Pagoda at the southern shore of Fewa lake and Sarangkot, a beautiful hill to the north-west of the city.
day 8 - Sightseeing in Pokhara
Today, you will start off your day with an early drive to Sarangkot to capture the tranquil and magical view of the city before sunrise. It provides a spectacular vantage point to observe the golden morning, with the sunrays hitting the snowcapped Annapurna Range. Here you can see panoramic views of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre (Mt Fishtail) and Dhaulagiri, among others mountains.
Your breakfast awaits you at the hotel.
In the early afternoon, go sightseeing around Pokhara, including International Mountain Museum, Devis Falls, Gupteswor Cave and Seti River gorge. And in the late afternoon just before sunset, visit the World Peace Pagoda, situated on a hilltop alongside Fewa Lake, for an amazing view of Pokhara.
day 9 - Pokhara to Kathmandu via Bandipur
After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu via Prithvi Highway. On the way back, we will also be stopping at Bandipur, a small hill station off the highway town of Dumre.
We will spend around an hour in Bandipur, soaking in the views and exploring this old Newar town, before rejoining the highway to make our way to Kathmandu.
day 10 - Departure day
Your trip ends today. After breakfast, you will be advised and assisted with your travel arrangements and transferred to the Tribhuvan International Airport on a private transport three hours prior to your flight.
