Step into a world where ancient medinas meet the rugged High Atlas Mountains on the "Morocco Adventure"—a 19-day trekking and hiking tour that balances city discovery with mountain escapades. Starting in Casablanca and concluding in Marrakech, this challenging journey is crafted for experienced travelers eager to delve deep into Morocco’s multifaceted heritage and landscapes.
From the bustling souks of Fes to the imperial grandeur of Meknes and Rabat, you’ll be swept up in the sensory richness of Morocco’s cities. A highlight awaits in Chefchaouen, the famed blue city, before the adventure heads into the remote High Atlas. Here, traditional Berber villages and alpine pastures set the stage for a memorable trek culminating in a non-technical ascent of Jebal Toubkal (4,167m)—the country’s highest peak. The tour also includes a magical camel ride to witness sunrise over the Sahara dunes, providing a true taste of Morocco’s contrasts.
The exceptional blend of vibrant city life, mountain trekking, and Sahara exploration makes this tour package uniquely comprehensive for those seeking both challenge and cultural immersion in Morocco.
Summit Mount Toubkal (4,167m) – North Africa’s highest peak, with full support and non-technical ascent
Trek remote Berber trails – 7-day supported hike through High Atlas villages, valleys and passes
Witness sunrise over the Sahara – Camel ride to the Erg Chebbi dunes at dawn
Explore Morocco’s imperial cities – Marrakesh, Fes, Rabat and Meknes, rich in architecture and history
Wander Chefchaouen’s blue-painted streets – One of Morocco’s most photogenic towns
My 19 day Moroccan trip with World Expeditions was really in two parts. The explorer part where we visited the major destinations and learnt about the culture and history of Morocco. And the second part being the seven day trek to Mount Toubkal. This part was hard work but satisfying with excellent support from porters and the cook. The food was fantastic and much easier than we had had at restaurants. Highly recommended this trip for the adventurous.
Morocco: another outstanding World Expeditions adventure! This was my 6th trip with World Expeditions, and once again, it did not disappoint. I’m always so impressed with the guides and support staff, who do their jobs flawlessly. Boubker was our guide and right from the start, he was on his game. He knew his country and communicated his vast knowledge to us as we drove through the country visiting fascinating sites and learning the intriguing history of Morocco. He could answer any question given to him. Plus, he was fun, personable and fit right in with our group. Luckily, we had a harmonious group of adventurers from Australia, USA, Northern Ireland and Canada, which made the trip even more fun. In addition to the captivating sites along the way, the camel ride to watch a sunrise, a sudden sandstorm that caused Hassan, our excellent van driver, to do some successful off-roading (!), an afternoon conversing with and buying rugs from local tribespeople (I love my rug!), and the glorious hikes in the High Atlas Mountains made the trip one of the best ever. Speaking of the trek in the High Atlas Mountains, the cooks and muleteers were simply phenomenal. Not only did we have delicious food, it was beautifully displayed – even at 10,000 feet! They worked hard to ensure we were well-fed and our tents were ready for us when we reached the various camps. Above all, they were always smiling and helping us in any way we needed. If you are thinking of going to Morocco, GO! This trip has it all – culture, adventure, hiking. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
We had a fabulous trip thanks to our travel company. Our local guides made our trip a memorable experience. Nothing was too much trouble and we were able to tailor make all activities. This is my second trip to Morocco with this company.
Excellent trip, due to earth quake plans were changed very smoothly, with no issues. Guides were great.
