At the end of 2018, I started to plan the Kanchenjunga Circuit North to South (22 days) as my next trek in Nepal – the 6th one after doing before, the Langtang, the Lower Mustang, the Annapurna Circuit, and twice the Everest Base Camp 3 passes. I did all those treks with my good friend Nachman – always without a guide, and only the last one with a porter. I scheduled the Kanchenjunga circuit for OCT 1, 2019, so I have plenty of time to study and plan the trek to the very detail. Kanchenjunga Trek is defined by the Nepali authorities as a Restricted Area which can be done with a Licensed Guide! My first step in the plan was, to find a reliable Local operator to work with. I prepared a standard RFQ (Request for Proposal) that I sent to 20 selected companies. In the RFQ I asked for 3 services: A Guide, Porters, and ground transportation (Jeep) - From Bhadarpur to Taplejung and back. I have stated clearly that the prerequisite is a previous proven experience with the Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek. After about two months of email back and forth and with 8 companies that were left as appropriate candidates I have decided to work with Pasang Sherpa who managed to provide the most “balanced” offer, and happen to be the most responsive via emails….usually Pasang responds to Email, in details, within few hours or less – I liked it!!! Pasang chooses Nima Sherpa to be our guide. Nima is from the Kanchenjunga Region well familiar with this trek, as he did it several times before. The same applies to one of the Porters who is also from the Kanchenjunga region. The combination of Pasang Sherpa, Nima Sherpa, and the two Porters was a “Winning” combination!!! The professional organization, services, attitude, and concerns were far above any expectations I have. Thank you, Nima for leading us safely along the trek, for taking care of us, and for being so considerate. Special thanks to Pasang Sherpa who managed the whole operation remotely. The 21 day Kanchenjunga Circuit is an amazing trek to see a remote region and experience the traditional culture of Nepal. Nima Sherpa was my guide, a local from that area, and so knowledgeable about everything. I had an unexpected change of travel plans and Pasang was wonderful in helping and taking care of all the details. I hope to go back one day and look forward to connecting with Pasang again!

i am solo traveler and i had this Kanchenjunga Circuit trek here in Nepal in March 2019 which was very great trekking here in Nepal with refreshing,unique land escape, marvelous mountains, Himalayas,warm hearted people in every steps of this trek. I enjoyed this wholly as this was my first time in this Kanchenjunga region which provided me the great time trekking and hiking exploring this untouched landscape of Nepal. We had this Kanchenjunga trek here in Nepal with a team of 7 group member in this month of October, this trek was very unique with all the greenery, mountains,Himalayas,Nature and wilderness. This trek provided us the great views of the Himalayan ranges of Kanchenjunga from both Base Camp North and South in this Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek, we saw many Flora and Fauna with different types of rhododendrons,plants,animals like musk deer,Blue sheep,Red Panda one of the rarest Panda of the world.This region contains many culture boundaries with different culture and religion, we also visit the one of the popular tourist sites Illam in this trek which is located between the India and Nepal boarder and this is also one of the biggest business hub of Nepal with tea garden and other herbs and products. We want to thank all the team members, especially our guide Pasang for taking care of us on every trail and way as we had both tea house and camping trek which is difficult to manage but also this local operator organized this trek for us with great precision and care with all the fooding and Lodging even though this region had only basic tea house lodges.

Recalling back to this trek i feel good every time, i had the best experience of this trek with the pristine views of mountains,wilderness and nature.I am very glad that i had the best organized trek during the whole adventure with great service from our fellow guide and staff team, and i thought that this trek was very refreshing to me to get rid of my daily busy schedules.I am very much pleased with this trek as i get chance to be in the best parts of the "KANCHENJUNGA" with the precious and pure experience of nature.

This is my first trek experience to Kanchenjunga and it was just amazing and great with all the mountains,wilderness,flora and fauna,local people and life style and i must say it has been my best trek up to now comparing to others. And i hope to do this same trek with my family next year with the local operator. I have done the Kanchenjunga trek with Pemba as my guild staying in tea houses. Pemba introduced me to the local people and customs and he also introduced me to Tomba a local beer . there was no 5 star accommodation and no 5 star dining in the tea houses. if you want to meet the local people and see some beautiful county Pemba is the guy he will make it a very memorial trip. loved it. one day I will be back to walk with Pemba . I tried to upload some photos but my old laptop would not let me.
