Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trek

Just completed the Gokyo Lakes, Gokyo Ri, Cho-La and EBC treks with this local travel expert and had an unforgettable experience. Throughout the whole process Chhatra was an impressive communicator - very responsive, simple, clear and informative. Our guide (Rinji) and porter (also Rinji !!) were incredibly flexible in helping us make the impossible, possible - whilst always looking out for our health and wellbeing. I do not even know where to begin. This was one of the best trips I have ever taken. It was a life-changing experience. Our guide Kedar was extremely knowledgable and helpful. He answered every question. He made sure that every teahouse we stayed in was top-notch. He addressed all of my concerns. Kedar went above and beyond to make sure this was the experience of a lifetime. Our porter Tika was also professional. Always smiling and in a good mood. Truly an incredible individual. Words cannot express how beautiful the sights are on this trek. From the first view of Everest near Namche Bazar, to Cho-Oyu as you trek towards Gokyo. The lakes and the Ngozumpa glacier, and the climax, the views on Gokyo Ri and Renjo Pass. Every day brings with it views that will leave you speechless. I highly recommend this trek for anyone interested in the Everest region. I will be going back to the Himalayas and when I do I will be using this same company, I will be requesting Kedar as my guide, and I will be requesting Tika as my porter. Thank you NEPAL ECO!

A wonderful trek beautiful and epic scenery, nice lodges, treks well timed and good distances. This is my third trek in Nepal and the best so far, challenging but so worth it for the views of the mountains. Lovely villages and friendly people. Will definitely be doing trek number 4 in Nepal.

This was my first ever trek so I didn't know exactly what to expect, but it turned out to be quite an adventure ! The trek is challenging and cruel at times, but mostly it is an impressive and rewarding experience which I can only recommend. The organization from the local tour specialists was pretty good, transfers, accommodation and service was on a very high level. The best part was spending trek time with my guide, Sudip, who was super helpful and well educated about the trekking and mountains in general. On several occasions he made the trip much more comfortable, whether by providing a good advice with altitude related symptoms, helping with my heavy backpack or just setting the mood for the day. One word of advice, and this probably goes for all Nepal treks - bring more cash than you think you need ! In the lodges, you will want to have drinks or food not covered by tour's standard menu, as well as some showers etc. The tipping seems to be expected for all services in Nepal, so keep that in mind. The Lukla flights are highly unpredictable, you might have to invest in the helicopter to get back to Kathmandu in time for your international flight (happened to me since my return flight was canceled due to bad weather). All in all, 5/5, would go again :)

We were on our honeymoon 10 days in the Everst region of Nepal, on the gokio ri/Renjo la pass trek. We chose this track as a round trip in a less crowded trek. We enjoyed the the variation in topography and getting an authentic experience of local culture. We hiked with our guide Keshab Sapkota. Our guide and two porters were extremely helpful and had rich knowledge of both the nature and culture in the region.
