day 1 - Kochi - Munnar
Arrive at the airport or train station in Cochin and transfer to Munnar, which is located 150km away. The journey takes approximately 4 hours. Enjoying panoramic views of hills covered in cardamom and tea during the trip. Check into your hotel upon reaching Munnar. You are free for the rest of the day.
day 2 - Munnar sightseeing tour
Start your sightseeing tour of Munnar in the morning, after breakfast. See hills swathed with greenery and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area. Travel through Eravikulam National Park. Included in the itinerary is a visit to a dairy farm, Munnar' old town as well as its market. You will also get the chance to see the Mattupetty Dam today.
day 3 - Munnar - Thakkady
Head for Thekkady after breakfast and check into your hotel upon arrival. You are free for the rest of the day. The optional activity for today is a wildlife cruising trip in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, situated around the banks of Periyar Lake.
The high hills of the Western Ghats around the lake are clothed in dense, evergreen, deciduous forests. Below this thick, green canopy roam herds of wild elephants, tigers, gaurs, lion-tailed macaques and Nilgiri langurs. Stay overnight in Thakkady.
day 4 - Thekkady - Aleppey & house boat cruise
Drive to Aleppey after breakfast. Reach there in the afternoon and check into the house boat. Aleppey is a cluster of little islands located on the banks of the famous Vembanad Lake, an intricate, enchantingly beautiful web of majestic canals and streams.
Here, the gorgeous green of fringed palms beautifully contrast with the blue waters. Enjoy cruising through the backwaters of Aleppey, past paddy fields, narrow canals and villages. Your lunch and dinner will be served in the boat. Enjoy an overnight stay in the boat.
day 5 - Aleppey - Kovalam
Check out of the boat after breakfast. Our representative will pick you up and drive you to Kovalam, where you will reach in the afternoon. Check into your hotel upon arrival. You are free for the rest of the day.
day 6 - Kovalam
Relax on the sandy beaches of Kovalam today.
day 7 - Kovalam - Trivandrum
The tour has come to an end. We will drive you to Trivandrum Airport after breakfast.
