I recently returned from an incredible Everest Base Camp trek in Nepal arranged by this tour company. As first-time trekkers, my friends and I were a bit nervous about the challenge of this famous route, but the tour company and their lovely staff put our minds at ease from the start. They helped us make all the necessary preparations and plan our itinerary to allow enough time for acclimatization. Our guide, Kumar, was simply fantastic - hugely experienced, fun to chat with, and attentive to everyone's needs. The friendly porters also inspired us as they carried heavy loads up the high passes with tireless strength and cheer. Throughout our 10-day trek, they ensured we had cozy teahouse lodging each night and hot, delicious meals to fuel us. Reaching Everest Base Camp was a truly unforgettable achievement - standing at 17,500 ft with sweeping views of the glorious peak was a dream come true. Beyond the destination, though, it was the overall trekking experience that made this adventure incredible thanks to Himalayan Trek. Their expertise allowed my friends and I to challenge ourselves while feeling safe, informed, supported and amazed by the beauty of the Himalayas every step of the trek. I couldn’t recommend this company more! We will definitely be back Nepal!!!

Our trip to Everest Base Camp was, without a doubt, a most amazing adventure. The best scenery, people and their culture was really good from another world. We were very lucky with the weather having sunny days and blue skies every day.

EBC TREK REVIEW My husband and I thought long and hard about how to leave this review. I hope our experience and thoroughness of these comments are found to be helpful. The EBC Trek we experienced was the most challenging and rewarding accomplishment weve had to date. The beauty of the mountains was indescribable; we left the country with an increased appreciation for our beautiful world and a stronger relationship with each other. We have zero regrets and are left with incredible memories, photos, and bragging rights. Let me begin with THE PROs: The owner of the company, Surya, communicated via email with my husband for months. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and patiently responded to DOZENS of questions we had prior to even booking. He greeted us at our Kathmandu hotel upon arrival, checked on us through our guides cell phone during the trek, took us out for a fabulous traditional dinner after the trek was completed, and escorted us to the airport for our return trip home. We have zero issues with him and found his customer service to be exceptional. Our guide, Ramish, was there to pick us up from the Kathmandu airport at the start of the trip. He took care of park entries/permits, transportation in and out of the Lukla airport, selecting a porter, and checking in to each tea house as required. He safely and successfully escorted us to Everest Base Camp and back. Our satisfaction with our guide did not go beyond that. THE CONs: We discovered quickly that our guide knew VERY little English, despite being promised an English-speaking guide. We had issues with communication from the very beginning, when we were startled by his allowing of strangers to handle our belongings between the airport to the taxi so they could then demand tipping. We were unable to ask many questions about Kathmandu and on the entire duration of the trek because he so rarely understood us. We would have loved to learn about the history, culture, mountain ranges, running of the tea houses, etc, as you would hope to learn from a local that youd spend 12 straight days with, but this wasnt possible. We were given no say in our lodgings and meals, as it became apparent that we were only being taken to tea houses owned by his friends and family. This meant that for the same cost to us, we often were staying in less clean and/or comfortable tea houses in each village. We had no false expectations of a luxurious trek, we had thoroughly researched what to expect and quickly learned quickly to treasure even the smallest amenities provided; but in chatting with fellow hikers we learned that they often had been provided better accommodations. We found ourselves envying other groups with fun, joking guides who played games and told stories and chatted with them in the evenings on what to expect the following day. We were informed by the owner later on that he hires guides from a rotating list, and that Ramish was not a private employee of this individual booking company. Our trip was not ruined by our dissatisfaction with our guide, however we knew it could have been better, more social, and more informational. I think 4 out of 5 times the guides for this trek would have been excellent, we just happened to receive an average one. In summary, we would rate this trekking company five stars for the owner, and three stars for the guide that fell under his responsibility, hence our overall rating of four stars.

I also opted for a porter as the return trip is over 100km at altitude which is intensive - even if you are fit. Hiking the Himalayas is both beautiful and rewarding and I would highly recommend it, no matter your age or your fitness level. I would do it again in a heart beat and cannot wait to come back.

My custom trip to Gokyo Lakes/Cho La Pass/ EBC/Kala Pattar was unbelievably epic thanks to Surya and my guide Dil Thamang. From the first point of contact via email, Surya was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful without any language issues. He went above and beyond in not only customizing my trip but also changing both the departure flight AND the return flight at no additional cost because of weather/finishing early. My guide Dil was the best companion on the trek I could have asked for - he was pleasant, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. Without him I would have been lost on the trail and in communicating at the guest houses. Hands down the best value and best service Ive ever experienced. Thank you!!!

No previous trekking experience prior to embarking on this adventure. It was challenging but very rewarding. During the trekk, my guide Ran Bir, was great at ensuring my safety at the trails as well as the overnight lodges. Please, support the local Nepalese industry by booking local trekking companies. The local operator is one of the best.

When you want to do a humongous task, we should have great planning and then execution. Surya and team did the planning for us and we just did the execution. But we want to real thanks our guide and hero: BIPIN, a great human being, for his amazing trekking skills and managing a big team of 8 of us. He made sure that every person is attended promptly. Trek was well planned in terms of number of days. Special thanks to Surya Shresta Nepal for excellent arrangements and to our Guide Bipin Thapa. Bipin displayed extraordinary skills to manage 8 guys. 3 fast movers , 2 intermediate and 3 slow movers. Bipin was available as and when required with his guidance. Finally special thanks to all porters for doing all the heavy lifting without them this trip would not have had been grand success.

Just finished the EBC trek a week ago with the local operator and we had a very good time. The trek itself was hard and rewarding with the beautiful Himalayas and of course seeing the summit of Everest. We decided to book with this company based on reviews we have read here in bookmundi. Also, the price and itinerary fit us. Surya was very fast and easy to communicate with which make things easy. Our guide Babu was professional and easy to get along with, awesome personality. The porters were also very nice. The teahouses we stayed at and places we ate for lunch were all good. Food and drinks are paid for separately, for a couple, we paid around $700 CAD. We highly recommend the operator for EBC trek. Thank you for making us complete one of our bucket lists.

We are couple from Indonesia , the country with daily temperature is about 25-30 degree Celcius, experiencing a coldy and snowy environment like in EBC trekking is new for us , thanks to our guide Babo that can handling situation when my wife got trouble with the extreme low temperature while in trekking. But, this trek was not possible if the tourist guides from the local operator did not guide us. This company offers several packages among which I had chosen the one.
