Follow well-worn trails through lush forests and high mountain villages, passing through the legendary Sagarmatha National Park. day 1 - Kathmandu - Lukla (flight) & trek to Phakding

Early morning drive to Kathmandu Domestic Airport and fly to Lukla. Upon landing in Lukla, start trekking to Phakding. The trail goes down the Dudh Kosi Valley before moving uphill. Stay tonight in Phakding.

day 2 - Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Cross a suspension bridge and trek uphill to reach Chumoa, where you can find some coffee shops. Travel through dense forests and past small villages. The last two hours is an uphill climb after which you reach Namche Bazaar, nicknamed the 'Sherpa Capital of Nepal.

day 3 - Rest day at Namche Bazaar

You have a free day in Namche Bazaar today. In case you are interested, you can book the optional trip to Syangboche's Everest View Hotel, the highest hotel in the world, and enjoy amazing views of Mt. Everest as well as Amadablam, Thamserku and Lhotse peaks.

day 4 - Namche Bazaar - Tengboche (3,870m)

The journey today involves both uphill and downhill trails that follow the Dudh Kosi River. You reach Tengboche Monastery after one last steep ascent. Stay overnight in Tengboche.

day 5 - Tengboche - Dingboche (4,360m)

Travel through a rhododendron forest to reach Pangboche. End your journey today in Dingboche.

day 6 - Rest day in Dingboche & optional hiking to Chhukung

Allow your body to acclimatize to the changing altitude. You can also book the optional hike to the Chhukung Valley if you want to. This valley was traditionally used as a yak pasture and had no permanent habitation in the past. However, with Everest Base Camp trek increasing in popularity, several lodges have sprung up in the area.

day 7 - Dingboche - Lobuche (4,940m)

The trail today is a steady climb for the first 3 hours. Then you can see a memorial dedicated to the Sherpas and trekkers who lost their lives in the Himalayas. A short dash uphill from the memorial takes us to Lobuche.

day 8 - Lobuche - Gorak Shep (5,170m) & hike to EBC (5,364m)

You will reach Everest Base Camp today. Enjoy unforgettable views from the base camp before heading down to Gorakshep.

day 9 - Gorak Shep - Kala Patthar (5,545m) & trek to Pheriche

Head for Kala Patthar in the morning. This peak offers amazing, panoramic views of Mount Everest and other peaks in the Himalayas. Take photos and spend some time enjoying once-in-a-lifetime views of the mountains before starting your descent.

Reach Pheriche before the end of the day today.

day 10 - Pheriche (4,280m) to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Trek down to Namche Bazaar from Pheriche today. Spend your night in the bazaar.
