An action-packed tour of Egypt including Cairo, the Valley of the Kings and a Nile cruise
Discover some of the most remarkable archaeological sites in the world
Set sail down the iconic Nile Rover in comfort, travelling from Aswan to Luxor
Unravel Egypt’s mysteries in comfort and style on the 'Classic Egypt with Nile Cruise + Red Sea Extension' tour. This 13-day moderate-activity trip is crafted for experienced travelers seeking a deep dive into ancient history, modern culture, and natural beauty.
Begin in Cairo, where the Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx set the stage for a journey through time. Marvel at the treasures of Luxor and Aswan, including the Valley of the Kings and grand temples that line the Nile. The highlight? A luxury cruise down the Nile, where sunsets and riverside life create unforgettable moments.
After exploring Egypt’s storied past, relax on the shores of the Red Sea in Hurghada—swimming, snorkeling, or simply soaking up the sun. The blend of bustling city life, serene river cruising, and coastal relaxation is the unique selling point of this tour package, ensuring a comprehensive and rejuvenating escape.
Excellent trip. Covers all the ancient sites and has the bonus of the Red Sea. Ramy was an excellent guide and couldn’t have done more. Cruise boat was nice. Definitely go to Abu Simbel. Suggest cocktails at the Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan. Only 6 in our group which was nice. Hotel Mercure on the Red Sea was nice with snorkelling from the beach or using FunFly (excellent) located at the hotel. It’s all buffet and busy. There are no English speakers at the hotel and the entertainment is geared towards French & Russians.
Great to have 3 days to unwind after a busy tour
We had a fantastic, full on experience on this holiday. We saw many amazing things which were explained by one of the best tour leaders we have had, Mohamed. The optional tour to Abu Simbel is a must, as are many of the options. We did not enjoy the overnight train as much. It was dirty and noisy but all part of the experience. We will fly next time though haha. We would recommend anyone doing the Hurghada extension to check the hotel. We were put in the Hurghada Mercure which was a huge busy, noisy, family hotel with All Inclusive restaurant. You could not get on the beach as people would put towels on the loungers at 7am in the morning. We could have been in Torremolinos , our Egyptian experience rapidly fizzled away. We'd recommend you stay on in Luxor and relax by the Nile. Also, we wish we'd arrived a day earlier at the start of the tour, which some of our group did, as we would have liked more time in Cairo which is amazing. But, if you've never been to Egypt definitely go for this holiday.
Lots to see and do. Don't expect much down time especially if you do the optional extras. But it's worth it. The red sea extension was great to relax at the end.
The Egypt tour is fascinating but expect crowds at every turn. A lot of very early cold starts to beat the rush but still it is an international tourist destination for the masses. Driving across the desert to Hurgada was exciting The Red Sea extension was perfect. At last we could relax in the sunshine, the food was delicious and the staff attentive.
