Egypt January 2025 Tour Reviews

4.8 - Excellent

Amazing adventure, you won't be disappointed but it is exhausting.

This trip includes all the well know sites you could want. Egypt is absolutely amazing and you won't be disappointed with what you see. Each attraction you visit is unique and an amazement. The accommodation is lovely and food good. Be prepared for early mornings, eg some were 2.30am! Also be prepared for lots of steps, and to fit in a lot in one day. It is exhausting but well worth it, perhaps just book a day or two to recover when you get home!

This was overall very good, with so many wonderful historic sites to explore and gaze in awe at the immense pyramids/temples and intricately decorated tombs. For me, the Cairo part of the trip should be redesigned, and the number of optional trips greatly reduced (there are too many half/not full -even if described as such- days, with optional extras) with more incorporated into the trip.

I will admit, I was nervous coming to Egypt. My husband and I travelled here in Nov 2023 and I have to give all the credit to the success of this trip to our amazing tour guide Peter. Peter made me feel so safe from the first second we met him. He squashed any preconceived notions we may have had about Egypt and the Egyptian culture. The people here are so friendly and I felt safe the entire time. The tour is jammed packed. You don't have a lot of downtime so be prepared for early mornings and late days with a lot of sight seeing in between. The food was extensive! I have never eaten so much in my life! The sights of Egypt are incredible. It's worth the 4am wake up call to take the Abu Simple Temple excursion. The first and last hotel (same resort) was a little lack luster but it was good enough for the two short nights we had there. The cruise was spectacular with awesome views, some needed downtime and wonderful service. The Gravity Resort was stunning. We had a fun bunch of people from all over the world and had a perfect mixture of personalities. And of course, Peter made sure everyone had an awesome experience Overall, I would definitely recommend coming to Egypt and would highly recommend Expat Explore tours. Especially if you're lucky enough to get Peter as your guide All of the included tours were really good, aside from the locals harassing you relentlessly to purchase their products. We were warned fairly and often from Peter to just say no and keep walking however these people were quite aggressive. Be prepared to say no a lot. Also be warned that most public washrooms require payment to use them.
