Egypt 9-Day Tours and Trips

I signed up for this tour to see all the things that I had only read about in history books. And it didn't disappoint. The tour starts with someone meeting you at the Cairo airport to help through customs. This makes it so easy. You get handed off a few times and end up at the hotel. There is security everywhere. I never felt unsafe during the entire tour. There are several add on tours you can do before or after the official tour. I did the Memphis a Dashur tour, which included two pyramids, and also did the Alexandria day trip. It's totally worth it to go into the pyramids. They are hot and stuffy and an uncomfortable hunkered over walk to get into but it's so worth it. You are going to be spending a lot of time traveling on a bus on rough roads so be ready for that. Some of the days start really early so you can get there before the crowds. This ended up being totally worth it nothing like having a whole temple to yourself. Be ready for very pushy salesfolks everywhere. Also have lots of small bills available for tipping and bathroom breaks, there's normally a fee for any bathroom use. And bring your own TP since there often isn't any. The guides know a lot. Our guide was Mina M. He answered all our questions and provided tons of information and kept everything going smoothly. He was more than wiling to accommodate requests. We had signed up for the felucca but discovered it was just sleeping in a group on the deck of the boat which is more adventure than we wanted. So he arranged for us to do the cruise but stay in the hotel that night which was fantastic. The highlight for me was the valley of the kings in Luxor and snorkeling in the Red Sea. I want to return to see more of both.

This itinerary is perfect for travellers who want to see as much of Egypt as possible in just a week. I'm still shocked at how much ground we covered and how much we managed to see in just a few days. It's hard to name a single highlight, because every day of this tour featured a highlight.

Fabulous value for money- accomodation including 3 nights on a ship on the Nile, a flight to Aswan, ferry rides, comfortable buses and a horse and carriage ride to a temple, and 2 nights at a resort in Hurghada. Great food, good accomodation, big days and lots of learning with our outstanding guide Michael Mousa.

The tour was a highly enriching experience. The tour guide Mr Ramez was incredibly knowledgeable providing insightful details at every historic site that we visited and ensured our safety throughout the trip. I learned a lot from his expertise.

Highly recommend Wonders of Egypt, everything is done for you, with knowledgeable tour directors, flights, accomodation, transport, tickets, meals and the Ship is fabulous, lovely decor, super friendly staff, delicious food. We absolutely loved our Tour and meet fabulous people who we had great times with on our Tour.

I had a good time on this trip - it was mostly archeological with knowing almost everything about the past - i had an excellent egyptoligist Ramadan who was extremely knowledgeable and answered everyones questions without hesitating - he was fabulous
