Egypt Tours in December 2026

We had a fantastic trip to Egypt. I am a single mum with a 10 and 12 year old. We were in a very small group with just one other family and we had a brilliant time. Mohammed, the group leader was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and fun and made everything run smoothly, even the bits that didn’t (don’t expect the train to be on time, however flashy the new station). He was fantastic with the kids and generous with his experience of all aspects of Egyptian life. The trip is pretty full on but there is downtime built in. We love Egypt and will definitely go back. We’ll also definitely do another holiday with explore. For me, being on my own with the kids, the group meant I got some downtime and everything being so well organised meant I felt like I got a holiday as well! As an added bonus it was no more expensive to have two rooms at the hotels! Would totally recommend.

I highly recommend these tours with G Adventures. The CEOs are consistently amazing, the locations visited highlight the special nature of the areas, and a lot of thought is put into the itinerary. They are comfortable including accommodations and transportation. And I especially love visiting the Planeterra-supported organizations.

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour! While I had some initial reservations, the clear breakdown of the price helped manage them. The tour brought together two different companies. The bus rides were comfortable, and Ash was an exceptional guide - professional, easy-going, reliable, and quick to respond to any questions or requests. I felt lucky to have ended up in a great group with an outstanding guide. I highly recommend this tour, especially Ash as your guide. Don't forget to do the optional excursions like Abu Simbel and hot air balloon rides. Thank you for an unforgettable adventure.

One of the best trips I have done for ages. Mohamed was an amazing guide - not only knowledgeable but also great at helping us to navigate travelling in Egypt and at arranging things so that it all flowed smoothly and easily. It is an amazing itinerary, especially if you allow for including as many of the optional excursions as you can - an intense ten days with a huge amount packed in without feeling rushed. Hotels were all good (and well located), as was the boat and the food. The sleeper train was probably the low point - not all that comfortable and poor food - but it made the best use of the time in terms of travelling and it's only for one night. Despite tensions elsewhere in the Middle East, this never felt unsafe in any way. Overall, an amazing trip and well worth going. Thanks to Mohamed and all at Explore!

Could not have asked for a better group tour managers and bus drivers than we had. Their knowledge and personality proved an atmosphere for wanting more information than one could contain. I'm not sure I could pick one better memorable experience than another. All that we saw was breathtaking along with the knowledge provided.

Well organized! Hotels and staff were excellent. Food was wonderful. Touring the Pyramids, taking the 4 day cruise down the Nile, seeing Petra in all its glory - enjoying all the sights, sounds and people, nice! We were very safe, the overall experience was fantastic! Our Tour Managers were the best of the best. I recommend this to anyone that enjoys history, the past comes alive.
