It's a great tour which covers all the main cities of Germany so it gives you a great overview of the country - just what the name of the tour suggests. We had a great tour guide, Larae, and a wonderful bus driver, Attila. The coach was very comfortable as were the hotels we stayed at. The dinners organized were a wonderful experience and overall there wasn't anything else we could have asked for.
The tour was fantastic, the tour director and driver were super. What I didn't appreciate was all the optional tours. If I was going to Germany for the first time and go with all the extra tours it would have cost a fortune. Going on a tour I expect to be taken to all the sights.
, the Tour Director was fantastic, informative and considerate. The tour was well organized, reasonably paced and the sites visited would need a lot of research to see independently. Hotels were good, bus travel comfortable. Well worth travelling with Trafalgar for Best of Germany tour
An informative, entertaining and well paced trip that I thoroughly enjoyed. I’m very keen to do more touring with Trafalgar.
It was a amazing trip meet wonderful people and doing amazing things with a travel leader Emmo and our amazing bus driver tibor I would do this again
Best ,very well managed by ,thanks to him and Trafalgar for a excellent trip
On the whole, this was a very well organised tour. The bus journey to Hamburg took a long time and we did not see much of the town unless we joined an optional tour in Hamburg. The evening meal in the Black Forest hotel in Breitnau was very unsatisfactory. The final night in the Sheraton hotel in Offenbach was a disaster. The hotel internet did not work. The cold water tap in our bathroom did not work and although we complained about this, the staff did nothing about it. There was an intermittent banging noise from our bathroom from 2 am onwards which disturbed my sleep a lot. However, on the whole I enjoyed the Best of Germany tour a lot and our guide, Maddy, was very competent and caring.
The itinerary was fabulous. It had a great variety of places we went to. We saw many different aspects of German history, culture and industry.
This trip was great we enjoyed it. The bus journeys are long , but that is understandable. We covered many places in the journey and we only got a couple of hours to visit each place or destination but once again with the time lines you just have to locate things to see or do and go for it. The tour guide gave us ideas of what to see and he walked us to places of interest and gave clear instructions of where the group was to meet before we went to hotel each late afternoon. I do think they could stop more often at real interest points for only 3 minutes to get out and take a photo, i did mention this tour guide and he took it onboard. Trip in general was well worth it. Mikael was tour guide and Peter the driver, very good driver felt very safe with him behind the wheel, incredibly smooth journey
beautiful scenery
Great Itinerary. Was able to cover a lot of places! Great Travel director and Bus driver! The pace of the trip was just right for us. Good selection of hotels! Clean hotel with good breakfast buffet. Everything was well taken cared of.
This tour was organised so very well, every detail was covered at all times. Our Tour Director ( ) was very, very good. She made sure everyone was always happy and enjoying the tour. To cover the main parts of Germany in only 11 days meant things would be hectic at times, but always managed to enjoy all aspects. My first time using Trafalgar, I will certainly be looking to use them again in the future.
Good range of things to do, see and experience in the time we had. There are places I would love to go back to and see more of. Loved Munich, Rothenburg. I wasn't keen for visiting war sites, but have since changed my way of thinking. Mödlareuth and Dachau tugged a bit at the heart strings, but helped me understand a little more of my own father. I researched a lot more, from reading the itinerary. I read a lot of the reviews so we had an idea of the things we would be doing.
