If there is any way to separate the two train trips, I think it would be a much more enjoyable trip. They were both great, but having the St. Moritz to the train one evening and then getting up early the next morning for the Express train was over kill. The servers at the restaurant (included) in Munich were very rude and the food was fine. It was close to the hotel, but I would not recommend that location (Biergarten).

I highly recommend this bike tour. Touring the Mosel on bikes is a great way to immerse yourself in a beautiful part of German life. Most of the people we encountered on the bike path were Germans pedaling by the gorgeousness of the Mosel, sipping Weisswein at Weinhüttes by the river, or camping at one of the many exceptionally charming campgrounds along the way. The accommodations were all comfortable, the bike paths are well maintained and user-friendly, and as a healthy person who does not ride extensively - I was able to complete the journey without any concerns.

This itinerary provided a great overview of Germany from classic tourist stops to more unique experiences such a lunch in a castle high above the Rhine. Woven throughout was insightful and sensitive attention to Germany’s 20th century history.

I felt it was a great itinerary, which is why I originally chose the trip. We looped through the country to all the major cities and areas, learning so much more about German history than we ever knew. Seeing all the major landmarks, castles, and war memorials. Each city had a different feel as we made our way around the country. The Rhine River Cruise and Hamburg Harbor Cruise were nice additions to the road trip. Visiting Berlin, Nuremberg, and Munich with war memorials was somber, but important to see and learn from, as we came away with a better understanding of what was happening during those times. The Old Towns of Dresden, Rothenburg and, Heidleberg are all beautiful to visit and stroll through. Having lunch in a castle and visiting the Moritzburg and Neuschwanstein Castles was fascinating. It was interesting to learn about the culture in the Black Forest area and also see a cuckoo clock-making demonstration. This was one of the best trips ever to delve deep into the German country and culture, to see, learn, and experience so much! Every guide was so knowledgeable and interesting. I wanted to learn more about Germany from this trip, and l came away feeling this trip and the guides really covered it all and did an amazing job! This was a comprehensive itinerary and trip that I would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time and seen so much and did so much! I loved everything and my only wish is that we would have had more time at Dachau Concentration Camp. To be honest, that was one of the main reasons why I came on this trip. While the tour guide that we had, there was very knowledgeable. I felt like he rushed us through much of the tour. We only had limited time to look at things in the museum.

It was a more relaxed itinerary with 3 nights in each city, which I thought was great. I was able to schedule a 1 hour visit at St Mark’s Basilica in Venice during free time on the second to the last day, you just have to buy tickets in advance. It makes sense to do it then because you are already in the area. I normally do Globus Tours but after this tour, I think I may do more with Trafalgar. It was a very good experience, with lots of delicious food and drinks.
